  1. Thanks, I posted some in the Show Off sub forum. I'm just getting used to this site.
  2. Thank you! It's an enjoyable hobby and I would like to advance by taking some classes, etc. The leather work put out by the forum members here is really impressive.
  3. Hello! I'm a new member here and hail from Raleigh, NC. Lookin forward to contributing and learning from you gentlemen. I retired from Duke Energy and picked up a knife making hobby that I've been thinking about and wanting to do for a long time. Now that I'm retired I have pursued that interest. Making the sheaths was a natural progression from the knife making. Somehow it just didn't seem right (for me anyway) not to make the sheath to go with the knife. It didn't take long for me to find out I enjoyed making sheaths but the hand stitching not so much.
  4. Wow, that is impressive. I've never tried a rolled top like that. It really sets it off.
  5. Hello and I'm looking forward to learning and being a part of this forum. I'm retired and have been making knives as my hobby which got me into leather working making the sheaths. Tomorrow I pick up a leather sewing machine and am quite glad to go from hand stitching to learning how to machine stitch. Here is a few of my last sheaths along with the knives. Thanks and suggestions and comments will always be welcome.
