A friend wanted a front pocket wallet. I normally make these 2.5" wide but he wanted a 3" wide one, which I think is a little big but thats what he wanted. Also The leather had what seemed like a soft area in it and it kinda wrinkled after opening and closing it a few times. I wanted to make him a new one but he said it didn't bother him at all and he liked the wallet. The Ax Freedom Logo on the front is something he designed , I asked him if I could use it on other works and he said no problem, I kinda like that logo.

The Techsew 1460 is an upholstery class machine. It uses thread sizes up to #138, top and bottom. The maximum thickness is listed as 3/8 inch, but that would be in soft to medium temper materials. Hard temper veg-tan leather might be limited to between 1/4 and 5/16 inch. Any holsters sewn on this machine should not be for serious open carry use as #138 thread only has 22 pounds breaking strength. It will be great for belts, pouches, vests, zippers and wallets.

Hey Wiz thank you!! Can you recomend a machine that would work for belts etc and holsters?

  4. I was looking at the Techsew 1460 it looks like it would suit the needs of what I need and way beyond that. Mostly I’ll be making belts wallets and holsters. Seems like this would work great for what I need. What do you guys think? Anybody ever use one or have one? Is there any other recommendations in this price point? Thanks in advance y’all

I've retired mine. Not because there is anything wrong with it, but I got a bigger faster and more powerful machine. I didn't go crazy, I just went with the 2 legged free arm machine with a 5.5W laser with an almost 7"x8" burn area. I have a logo I burn regularly and my burn time decreased from 35 minutes to 4:15. Haven't tried it yet with cutting.

Do you have a link for the new one? Is the old one for sale lol????

Just got this mini desktop laser (purchased on Amazon). It has a working area of 3"X3". Just got it to mess around with before considering spending $3K on a Glowforge. Any advice? I will be using a Mac. Thanks

I'm about to pull the trigger on one of these exact lasers. How has it been going?
