  1. I found this company online selling dies and a roll-through die-cutting system. It looks like it could be a good midpoint solution between hand cutting, contract clicking, and buying a more expensive clicking system. Does anyone have experience with this tool? 'Leather' is listed as one of the materials it's capable of cutting, but I'm curious as to how thick it can handle. -Jocker
  2. The last time I was at Urban Ore in Berkeley, there was a skiver for sale. It looked pristine, had all of the parts, and was priced at $1,200. Also, S.H. Frank in San Francisco had one for sale this summer.
  3. The mechanic who works on my Consew 226-R has warned me that production of replacement parts for these machines has shifted from Japan to China, and that the quality has suffered appreciably. I'm looking around for a machine to replace it, but I don't want to run into the same problems. I've been looking at vintage Durkopp/Adler and Pfaff machines. Are the parts for these machines still quality, or have they suffered like Consew?
