  1. Hello Shoepatcher

I have aquired a Singer 29K58 from a local auction. According to the repair shop it is missing the shuttle, bobbin and maybe the carier. The shop said everything is now free and working but they need the missing parts to finish repairs.

I have found a manual for the 29K71 but not the 29K58 and Amazon seems to indicate the shuttle type is large. But from some post online it is a size small?

I am new to sewing machines and sewing, but spent 21 years working in the engineroom of US Navy ships so a bit technically inclined.

  5. Mitsubishi LU2-410 Information? First, I will admit I am new to sewing machines. Not new to leather, I grew up on a horse farm and still ride about 5 days a week. I have hand stitched more than one headstall. I just bought a Mitsubishi LU2-410 (I think) on a local auction. It seemed like a good deal at $200. I have found a technical information manual for the LU2-410-B1T and LU2-430-B1T online that seems correct. It is a 220 VAC 1 or 3 Phase which I understand means it can be wired 220VAC 1 or 3 phase. Sorry for the bad photos. These came from the auction site I cannot pick up until this coming Friday. Now the questions come: · I do have a 220vac single phase outlet available, but would prefer to replace the motor with a 115vac unit if possible? · I see in the manual it is a dual needle machine and I have no idea what this is implying? · And from reading most prefer a walking food machine and in the manual, they call it a presser foot but again unsure? · What other questions should I be asking, and any additional information will be greatly appreciated.
