Hello,
Can anyone advise the equivalent of the Cobra Class 20 flatbed machine for other brands of sewing machines. I am exploring getting another machine and want to make comparisons between companies’ machines. Thanks.

I am considering buying a Skiving machine. I see many machines available including the Consew DCS-S4, FAV AV2, Fortuna, Leather Machine Co NP4, and the Techsew SK-4. They all seem very similar. Are the limits of Skiving leather thicknesses the same for all? Do any of you have advice as to why I should look at one over the others? Or why I should stay away from a particular device. Otherwise I may go with price, which I know is not always the best. I am interested in Skiving leather for making hats (3 - 5 oz.), bags, wallets, etc.. some of the veg tan may be a little thicker. Most of the leather is chrome tanned, but some is veg tanned. Thanks for any input you may have.

Hello,
I have an Artisan Toro 3000 with a servo motor. It has stopped working. When I turn on the on/off switch nothing happens, and neither that light turns on nor does the on/off switch on the servo. I checked the fuse and it looks ok. I even put a new fuse in it. Also, when I pull the fuse while the switches are on, they both illuminate. Any idea what is wrong? Is there a reset switch somewhere I am missing? Thanks.

Can anyone advise where I can get a last jack used for making moccasins? They appear to be different from a regular last stand as the last is mounted in an upright position to aid in sewing. I would appreciate any information on where to get one or plans for making.

I just picked up an Artisan Toro 3000 machine and I am looking for a source where I can purchase 794 D needles by the pack and not full boxes. In particular, I am looking fir 784 D, NM: 160 Size 23 needles. Thanks for any help.

Hello. I make cowboy style hats. These hats have a wire sewn into the folded edge of the brim. I currently manually fold the brim with my fingers as I sew on my machine. Is there an attachment that I can install on my machine to automatically fold the leather around the wire as I sew? I am using 3.5 - 5 oz. leather. Thanks.

can anyone advise where I could get a set of one inch number stamps to match the one inch standard alphabet set? I believe Craftool used to make a set, but I can’t find any after searching many resources. Thanks.

In a recent online search, I recently saw a leather strap cutter that can use a verity if blades including craft knife blades, and box cutter blades. The handle on the cutter was beige or tan and shaped like an old style gun. When I went back online to order one, I could not find it again. Does anyone know the source of this cutter that takes a number of blades? Thanks.

I am writing to ask for input about two choices of Bell Skiver. One choice is the Consew DCS-4, being sold by a sewing company in Brooklyn for $1330.00 with free shipping. The second option is the Leather Machine Co. Cobra NP-4, selling for $1620.00 plus shipping (over $1900 total). I was told the Consew has a 90 day warranty, and have no idea what the follow-up service support will be from the company. The Cobra has a limited lifetime warranty, and both the Leather Machine Co., and Springfield Leather have great track records of service. My dilemma is the $600 difference in cost. Between the two machines, is the Warranty and any differences in machines worth paying the extra $600 for? Thanks for any input you may have.
