  1. Hi All, I have had some issues with the dye/finish process I have been using, and would really like some advice if possible. I am working on some leather sports 'sneakers' - using the Fiebings Leather Dye (USMC Black), followed by 2/3 coats of Fiebings Acrylic resolene. So far the finish does not withstand much use on the product before wearing off - used primarily in dry weather conditions. My main question is, would I be better using an alternative to the resolene or is there something wrong with my process? is there anything recommended that would help to 'waterproof' the leather better as well? Thank you
