  1. First pic: collection of rust items second: after 2weeks in 50/50 vinegar-water pic 3: the top and black test piece after a 4 second dip into the try as seen in pic 2 pic 3: the bottom test strip was dipped 4 seconds in an ice cream bucket that the rusty items were rinsed off in. i am using coffee filters to strain the tray of pic 2. i am putting the cruddy coffee filters into the ice cream bucket. To Neutralize:: i will wait as i have in previous posts to apply baking soda just prior to using the Vinegaroon. time will tell. I wonder how well the filtered batch will work? How much water can be added... a pint,? a quart? Should i have added a quart and Not Strained at all? i m a retired Taxidermist, having hand tanned hundreds of deer capes, i like the hands on leather crafting. ps: also own a straight stitch walking foot Mini Thompson with Monster Wheel set up. It sews liner to 5-7 oz ok when the tension is ‘right’.
  2. 72’ zonker1972 i tried photo but it is over allowed 1.46 MB. thank you for sharing. my belt clip pkg. contains a male half female half and Rubber Spacer that slips over the female half and is a tad shorter and same diameter as the bottom (female) screw head.
  3. ......Continued by author..., a search found holsters that have reversible belt clips. I thought a metal belt clip must be riveted or fastened with a Chicago Screw. I could barely imagine using screwdrivers to pry out a belt clip to reinstall it on the reverse side. A neat idea i suppose. Does it satisfactorily remain on the belt in a draw?? I wonder no
  4. I need advise on installing a holster belt clip. what is the plastic spacer do? does one apply glue to the clip, then stitch the backing over it? the holster will have a liner.
  5. I was surprised that with the myriad of “Leather Inventory Items” your concern is that of “ Leather on hand”. My purchases are by the sq ft. usually. Some are 20 inches by 30 inches. NOW, you have me thinking...., humm, WHAT IS THE BEST METHOD to know our value of Leather On Hand??
  6. This particular leather is 3-4 oz and seems brittle. i am thinking to apply a mink oil application, finish sewing, then apply finisher coat. Please advise
