Made this for my mother.  I hope she will beat it up and really test it’s durability.  She had been stealing my stepdads backpack for rockhounding outings so I made this for her for Christmas.

[Design software for pattern making?]

People who make their own complex patterns, what software do you use?  I know I could use AutoCAD to get it done but I don’t want to spend that kind of money.  Any other software with the functionality required for making accurate patterns?

[Compressing Leather?]

You think you could saturate a piece of 2/3 oz leather and use a couple of steel plates w/ c clamps and successfully reduce the thickness.  I’m struggling with skiving and would love a consistent controllable way to make some of the layers of this wallet I’m making a uniform thickness.
