just in case someone is looking for inspiration this is how i installed needle position sensor on my consew 206rb-5. there is an existing hole on the back of the machine. i bent a piece of aluminum flat bar as shown in the picture. with this setup i can tilt the machine back without worrying about the sensor, i can even take the belt off without disturbing the sensor at all.

if you have the typical amazon/vevor china made brushless servo motor controller and you have installed the typical needle position synchronizer you may have been fighting with trying to get it setup. there a several youtube videos on how to install it but nothing that i could find on how to actually set it up. so here is what i figured out by trial and error and it works great. 1-instal the sensor so the light triggers at top dead center (most videos show this)is pretty straight forward. just make sure you get top dead center set before proceeding. 2-go into setting P-04 and set it to ON 3-go into setting P-13 and set it to 2: external single signal 4-this is the bit that was not clear setting P-10, this is what you use to set the down stop position, higher numbers advance the needle. 4a--on controller press the P button to select needle down position 4b- run a couple stitches, let off pedal, if your needle stops too soon, enter into P-10 and increase the number (press P and S at same time), press plus button to get to setting 10, press S to enter setting mode, up or down arrow to make adjustment, then press S to save 4c- run a couple stitches, let off pedal, if your needle stops too soon, enter into P-10 again and increase the number, repeat until you get your needle far enough on the upstroke to make sure hook has grabbed the thread. once you have this set, when you have selected NEEDLE DOWN as indicated by the lower led on the P button lit, your needle will stop in the down position you set it to. from here a tap of the heel on the pedal will raise your needle to the up position. if you have selected NEEDLE UP as indicated by the upper led on the P button lit, your needle will stop in the up position and the heel tap will do nothing setting this up gives you stitch by stitch control with just a tap of the pedal

Got it sorted, new hook assembly, previous owner had definitely filed hook way down..was missing about 1mm of metal. I have never seen something so bodged before. Sad thing is the person I bought it from had both manuals so they had no excuse to make such a mess. Golden rule applies..anything used assume everything is wrong.

I bought my 206rb-5 used, was a mess, someone had used plastic shims under the feed dogs--obviously they didnt know how to adjust anything. so i have gone through all the adjustments, as per manual and also a couple youtube videos by mtrc (very good videos by the way) anyway, it sews pretty good now at low speed, but as soon as i go fast the thread shreds, tried different thread and needles. running #20 needle with 92 thread. one this i noticed the needle is contacting the bobbin cage pretty hard, the hook has clearance (enough for one piece of paper). question is, is this normal contact or has someone filed the hook down so much it has created other clearance issues?

ok group i found my answer, searched high and low and actually found an original paper manual for du-115, is complete user and service manual with parts as well. scanned but cant attach here due to size pm if you want a copy

??, machine in video is a DU-105, not a 115, the specs for the 105 show it as a 7mm stitch, the DU-100/DU-120 instruction manual list the du-100-12 and 120 and specs show 7mm stitch, but the du-115 is not listed in specs I am certain my DU-115 is a 5mm stitch machine, but why it only gives 4.2mm is my issue.

Thanks for the video link, i had already seen this one, looking more for details on stitch length, not sure if the 115 is limited to 4mm stitch or if it should go to 5mm, the flywheel is marked 0 to 5 on stitch adjuster so i assume it should go to 5. but no matter how i adjust the feed regulator cam it only does 4.2mm. i know 0.8mm isnt much, but if your doing a contrasting top stitch it makes a difference. i did manage to get a 5.1mm stitch in forward with a 4.2mm reverse, to do this i had to move pin #476 to the right far enough so it no longer rests on the casting (this is the hard stop for forward and reverse), with pin moved to right, the reverse lever now travels just a little higher in the forward position, so effectively the reverse lever now becomes the limit stop for forward stitch length.

Hello group, I am new here and new to industrial sewing machines. I just scored a mitsubishi Du-115 for $200 canadian. It sews ok, but stitch is a bit short at 4.1mm, I have the parts catalog, I have the du-100/125 operator manual as well as a couple singer 211 manuals, the 211u157a seems closest match.. but there are several differences especially with feed regulator and reversing linkage. As far as I can find this machine should do a 5mm stitch. Does anyone have first hand knowledge of the du-115 specs?
