Ello Ladies and Gents, I was wondering on a little input. I am new and starting a small Etsy shop and building up from there. This is one of the first items I will be listing. A very simple leather cuff with a stamped pattern, simulated stitching and a tiny bit of tooling(a couple in the pic are unfinished). What is a good and genuine price point to start these at? $10? $35? I have no idea. Any help is always appreciated! Thanks in advance -Ryan

Hi All, I'm a total noob, I love leather cuffs/wristbands/bracelets. I'd like to start making these and would like some helping determining which tools to start with. How much should I spend on draw gauges, edge bevelers etc. What else do I need to cut/radius the corners and what sizes? How to procure leather samples/swatches? I don't plan doing much embellishing/carving but would like to use studs/gromets/snaps/rivets etc. as hardware/fasteners. Eventually some stitching but not right away. I appreciate any help and advice. I look forward to the day when I can contribute to this forum. Thanks! Mike

Ok, so here are a couple of bracelets that I've just finished. I made one for my daughter and now all of her friends want one (plus a few of my friends from Facebook). These are great little projects for learning! I get a little bit better with each one that I make. They are faaaaaaar from perfect (I have been calling them "drunkenbracelets" because they look like someone that knows how to do them got drunk before making them ). Even with all of the mistakes they are still something that I wouldn't mind wearing in public (I'm just not much into wearing stuff... not even a watch). Lots of fun, very relaxing, very rewarding, and everybody seems to like them. I already have orders for a couple of belts but I've got a ways to go before I will be ready to do that. High up on my wish list would be a stamping/tooling class. I'm pretty clueless and know that a class would help a lot. I haven't looked a lot but it doesn't seem like there is much available in my area (central FL). Maybe some day... Dave

Ladies and Gents, Have a look at these, I completed these unlined holsters about 3 weeks ago, and the bracelet 4 weeks ago and while there are some mistakes that I find glaring, such as the border getting away from me, I'd like some of your input as well. These are my first attempts in quite a while and I want to get better. Thanks -Patrick

Worked on a couple small projects this weekend. Made a new collar for my dog (still want to do some stitching along the edges of the narrow strap just to give it a more finished look), and made a quick little bracelet in about 3o minutes.

I'm sure others have made these, but since there are no pictures or threads stating such, I'll have 2 mins of warm fuzzy feelings of pretending to be first at something. Unless someone minds of course. In which case I'll fold in an apologetic fit like a wet paper bag. Basically a paracord bracelet, made with leather instead of said cord. Used a strap cutter that cuts in a circular pattern instead of straight to get a long enough strap. Strap is/was 2mm thick and 3mm wide. For the two-tone, the leather was dyed before braiding. Noted that due to either my lack of skill or the material used, the finished product tends to become shorter than expected. Way, way shorter. PS. Apologies for the poor quality and large size of pictures. I blame society. And the poor quality of the camera in my cheap phone.

I created a bracelet for my daughter. No carving thought, but that mystery braided i finally figured out. What a pain. Hopefully it will get better after a while...

After a long interest into leather working. I finally started my hobby. This is one of my first bracelet that I created with many more types of leather work I will create. Let me know what you think?
