Hello everyone! I am looking for some suggestions on a supplier to buy buckles, rings, D-rings, snaps and rivets for dog accessories here in Canada. I am based in Montreal and in the are the only one that I know is Cuir Desrocher. I've also looked up other store in different provinces like Lonsdale leather, Longview leather and some in the US like Buckle Guy. But my problem is that I didn't find the right design or the prices are high. Do you have any suggestion? Thank you!

Hi everyone, I wanted to share that I have many new buckles for sale in my ETSY store https://www.etsy.com/ca/shop/ReliquariaMedieval . These are all authentic historical shapes, but the best part is, they are not the kind of designs you can find in the average craft store. I've been lucky enough to have a couple of fantasy armourers work with me and the buckles (and armour -wink!) look great. I've had some questions about the quality of these items - they are solid brass/bronze (depending on the amount of tin), very heavy and strong. They are cast pieces so each one is unique and you will see slight imperfections from the casting process. If there ever is a problem, I will always replace the broken piece (but of over 600 sales I've only had one broken piece). I would be honoured if you would consider using some of my items in your designs. -Ellaire Here's a couple more.

Does anyone have any good- moderately priced but high quality Concho & Buckle suppliers? Looking for 1/2"; 3/4"; & 1" size buckles and larger conchos: say 2" and larger? I specifically do not want them to look like the cheap Tandy stuff. Thanks

Searching for buckles like the ones pictured. Specifically looking for 0.5" x 1.25" in brass, but other sizes as well. Abbey carries them, but their cost and shipping is extremely prohibitive. Weaver and Aime carry buckles that are supposed to be 1/2", but measure as 5/8" and are too long at 1 1/2". TIA

Hi I want to order men's belt buckles but the minimum qty is large. I'd like to go 50/50 on an order of 600 men's buckles. ANTIQUE NICKEL. Note, the photos are the brass color. They are $.85 each not inc. shipping from China (I'm guessing no more than $150 for the full order). They fit a 1.5" belt. -

Still having trouble finding seat belt buckle. I have customers wanting these on there leather work belts. Seen them used before but not sure where to find them. Have searched everywhere. Any ideas. Also lazy susan style swivels. Any help is appreciated

I'm repairing/replacing a watch band for a family friend. I want to use the original hardware, but it's not in great shape. It's cheap brass-plated and it has some kind of ... gunk? ... on it from the old strap. I've tried a few home remedies for cleaning brass with only limited success. Should I try taking a wire brush to it? I don't want to wreck it, otherwise I'll have to buy a new buckle set, which means extra cost for the customer (and me). Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

So without a bunch of confusing explanations I have drawn up a diagram to illustrate my question. This case will open to a flat container. The buckle I am using is a rectangle with sliding center. Which should be the billet and which should be the buckle in this scenario?

I like the look of the large western style heel bar buckles like this: https://www.tandyleather.com/en/product/diablo-buckle-sets However, I prefer 1.75" wide belts and I cannot find any in that width. I've had trouble searching for them online since any thing about "western" buckles returns plate/trophy style buckles. Does anyone know of anywhere I can get a buckle like that or have suggestions on what they might be called that differentiates them from western plate/trophy buckles? Thanks for the help, Harimau777

This is my second wrist cuff, made from some scraps of oil-tanned leather from Springfield Leather (Field Drab top and Crazy Horse bottom). I used glue and round spots to attach the two pieces, and the closure is a buckle. I like the studded leather aesthetic a lot, and it's more comfortable than #1, but I'm not quite as pleased with it. The Field Drab oil-tanned is really stretchy and I don't like working with it overall, it's not something I think I'll buy again.

I need some help from my fellow leather workers. I have a customer that wants a reversible belt. Should be easy to do right? not from what my searches are telling me. They want a 1.5" belt and the largest reversible buckle I can find is 1.35". They do not want it tapered and they do want both sides tooled. They also want it as thick as I can make it which is easier because I do have some saddle skirting I can use. Here's my 2 part question: 1. Does anyone have a source for larger reversible buckles like the big names use or 2. Can I do it the same as normal for the buckle and use a normal buckle that can be taken off (using snaps) and reversed. The back side would obviously have 2.5" of the opposite color (black on 1 side, timber brown on the other) and use a 6-7oz "liner"? that would meet up with the folded over part Any other ideas would be welcome

I am a huge fan of buckle guy, but I am looking for some more suppliers that offer similar quality/style without minimums. I am specifically looking for some sleek/minimal looking solid brass center bar buckles. It would also need to be a situation where I could continue to buy stock in the future, so I don't think anything on eBay or amazon would be a good choice (unless you know more than I do). Ive checked out buckleguy, OTB, leatherguy, leathersmith, weaver, zack white, tandy, springfield, brettuns... Maybe overseas? I don't know. Thanks! Zayne
