  9. We bought a building which used to be a leather working shop. The hardware, equipment, hides, everything was part of the deal .....soooooooooo, we are selling it! There are literally thousands upon thousands of pieces. Here is a link to the first 150 photos put up. We will have an actual itemized list in the next couple of days. https://photos.app.goo.gl/6AQnKmtRNPHeQ2V89 Here is the listing in .pdf format.... thanks for looking. Leatherworker Hardware list.pdf
  10. We make a couple of hundred gunbelts a year. They're extremely heavy duty and made of top-quality bridle leather, veg-tan and kydex. We've been buying our buckles from Buckleguy, which has very high-quality, handcast buckles of solid brass. The problem is they don't have a very wide selection. I'd love to get some buckles that are a little more elegant, or even some that are forged steel or graphite. But I cannot find other wholesale sources that are of similar quality. I've looked at Ohio Travel Bag, but their quality is all over the place. Where can I find some really cool, high-quality buckles?
  11. Cowboy CB3200 Heavy Leather Sewing Machine and leather fasteners, oils, stamps, and lots of leather 8-12 oz. I am not doing leather working any more and I am leaving Las Vegas, NV. I am selling everything off in one lot and I will not ship the machine. And really do not want to throw away the consumables, so it goes in one lot. 12. Hi I want to order men's belt buckles but the minimum qty is large. I'd like to go 50/50 on an order of 600 men's buckles. ANTIQUE NICKEL. Note, the photos are the brass color. They are $.85 each not inc. shipping from China (I'm guessing no more than $150 for the full order). They fit a 1.5" belt.

  15. I was in the middle of a large project that required a lot of embossing using my 6 ton press. The piece of granite I use as a stage shattered after one overly enthusiastic pull. There is a granite kitchen place a few miles from the shop so I headed over and explained my situation to one of the managers. He took me over to their scrap box and let me take whatever I wanted. I found a few perfect pieces of granite as well as a few quartz, which is even better. I asked him if I could make something for him from leather and he showed me his belt. It was about torn through from where he clips on his tape. I told him I would be happy to make a new belt, using the same hardware and I would reinforce the area where his tape clips on. I had some usable leather and wanted to make a usable belt with minimum effort. I am sure he will be thrilled. I took a picture of the back of the buckle are and took measurements but I have no idea what size to punch the holes. I found a Tandy buckle to have a look at the final belt but the 2mm holes I punched are too small for this buckle. I have to deliver the belt tomorrow and don't want to show up with a hand punch if they are too small. I also don't want them too big either. Based on the pictures, any suggestions about the best guess at hole sizes for the buckle? I don't make belts and this is probably the first one I have made in years! Thanks! Bob
  16. I was wondering who everyone uses for buckles. I have been using Tandy but some customers have wanted the seat belt buckle type on their straps. Haven' found a good supplier of those. Any ideas
  17. This is about 3/4"-7/8" wide buckle from a mixed lot of leather hardware. For the life of me I cannot figure how to use the loop on the left. Can anyone with experience with this sort of buckles point me in the right direction? Much appreciated!
  18. I bought out a leather maker in an online auction last year. I've got millions of rivets, clasps, buckles etc etc etc I'd like to sell as one unit. Ive got $300 in it all and it's worth thousands I'm sure. I'm in northern ky and you could pick up in a full size truck. If interested contact me 513-378-7107. I'll never use all of this and I honestly don't have time to part it out and sell it individually. I'll can email pics if interested. Site won't let me upload . Thx.

  21. I ordered some new stainless steel 1" center bar roller buckles from Weaver. I have the same style Tandy chrome plated buckle. I wanted to get started on the dog collar I am making with this buckle but Im a little leary that the sizes might be a bit different. I was wondering if anyone has used both and knows for sure? I know in theory they should be the same. If it's even 1/32" difference my collar will not fit. Thank you! Weaver buckle Tandy buckle
  22. I bought at auction a lot of leather supplies when Whitman Leather Co of Cintinnati Oh retired and closed its doors. I had no idea how much I had actually won in the auction as it was online only and pictured rolls of leather. I am interested in selling a lot of this stock but am a little overwhelmed with the amount of everything. They made premium saddles, as well as other horse/tack products and many many different types of gear belts and accessories for the Ohio police and fire departments. If you're interested in seeing pics of what I have or if you'd be interested setting a time to come see message me and I'll try to answer any questions.

  25. Hello; We just purchased a building which used to be the home of a leather working company. They produced everything from halters (horses & cows) to dog leashes. We purchased the building and contents because the family did not want to spend the time to sort all of this out. We are now in the position of trying to find homes for everything. There are over 900 halters, there is all sorts of equipment and tons (literally tons) of hardware in this building. He bought his hardware by the pallet and most is North & Judd. There is a 55 gallon container of a tanning compound he had custom made for his business and a dipping tank, I can not even tell you everything that is here because not being in the business I would do it a dis-service, so I have attached some links to pages of pictures we have so far. If anyone is interested in, please let us know and let's see if we can work it out. There is also a cart of 1/8" Leather shoulders here which we have sold a few and were told they were excellent by the fella who purchased them. He made gun holsters out of Texas. Thank you.
