Finally got to the point I needed an industrial sewing machine and went with the Cowboy 3200. Still have some fine-tuning to do for me but I love how it works and it sure beats spending an hour of labor on stitching!! You can see the lines on top of the material is there an adjustment for that or is that just normal? I made these three collars for Second Chance Farms. An amazing foundation that takes in disabled animals and helps them enjoy life. Thanks for looking!

Hey y'all! I was watching Bruce Cheaney sewing a dog collar on his Cowboy machine on Youtube last month. After that I could not get that sewing machine out of my head. I tried to find every cheap way possible to attain a machine but soon realized I just needed to buy a real leather sewing machine. I went into the basement and was able to find enough things to sell to buy the Cowboy 3200. I bought it from Neel's Saddlery. Ryan answered all my questions and I bought a package deal that included a pair of single sided feet and the material guide. Here is an unboxing and build on the 3200. I love it so far and learning as I go!

And they shall call him "Hoss" Cartwright... My Cowboy 3200 arrived thanks to Bob at Toledo Sewing. As soon as he was unboxed all I could think of was the fond memories I have of watching Bonanza as a child every night with my Mom and Dad. Yes I'm one of those lames, or real kool people, however you look at it, that names all her machines. My Seiko's name is Frankie Beverly (the singer) and the other 4 domestics have names too. The Cowboy reminded me of the gentle giant HOSS CARTWRIGHT. I'm so impressed with the control of this machine. I can creep and crawl and still stick with a solid punch just like Hoss! There is a learning curve and I've watched the many good vids on youtube especially by Ryan Neel/ Hightex and I'm diving in. There was even one that really demonstrates the range of this machine where a guy was sewing very thin bandanas. He used thin fleece material and a very thin leather and the Cowboy 3200 handled it like a charm. From thick to thin. I'm excited can't you tell? I'm sure I will seek the expertise of you good people as I go along... I can hear the Bonanza theme music now....YeeeHawwww!!

I just got my first sewing machine. Wow, do I have a lot to learn. It's like starting leatherwork all over again. I got a Cowboy 3200 from Bob Kovar at Toledo Sewing. The 3200 is a new machine that they don't even have up on the web site yet. Bob had mentioned that he thought it would be the best machine for the variety of projects I do. So far, it seems to be a very good intermediate machine. I'm sure the machine has it's limits, but none that I'll or I believe most people would hit. Mainly, I do motorcycle bags, holster, wallets, and belts. It is a cylinder arm machine with a walking foot and a combound feed. Set up on a lower table, vs the more common stand. I has a servo motor. Thread sizes are from 138 to 347, I believe. I've only run 207 on it so far (top and bottom). I had a small issue with the shipping. The table was damaged in shipping. I, like most on here, have a day job, so my sister signed for it and didn't notice the damage to the table. Bob was great and set new legs for the table out and I had them a few days later. Of course, like most new machine owners, I've already pestered him with a list of questions. He takes his time and responds to each one. I'm sure I'll have some for you guys too. I'm not sure of the etiquette of discussing pricing, since it isn't on the website yet, but i will say it was the most affordable option for me looking for a new machine. Being new and not knowing how things are supposed to be operate or look, I figured I was better off with a new one. There is a learning curve and there are still some issues I'm having. The one that's nagging me, is sometimes, when I'm done sewing and pull the piece out, it is like the last stitch isn't set in the middle. It's hard to explain, but its like it was set and I'm pulling it out from the underside of the project. Other than that, it's going good. I practiced for about fifteen minutes then sewed a holster. I'm pleased. So, if you are thinking of a new machine, call and ask Bob about the new 3200.

I apologize, i might not be using the correct terminology here. Tonight my Cowboy 3200 developed a problem over the course of an hour. I didn't make any adjustments or changes, so I'm not sure what happened. It started out with the bobbin just hanging inexplicably and not letting any thread feed off of it, so I cleaned out any dust and debris and lightly oiled. Now, when I sew, the thread just keeps wrapping around the bobbin.shuttle and I have to cut it off. I've been trying to figure it out for the last 2 hours. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Gary

I have a small issue doing backstitches on my Cowboy 3200. Occasionally the underside is as clean as the top, but more often than not, the underside is a spaghetti mess where the backstitch is. I'm not sure what I'm doing different when it's clean on both sides. It doesn't seem to be ripping or breaking the thread. Any thoughts or suggestions would be appreciated.

I'm in need of a Needle & Thread size guide for my Cowboy 3200 along with different needle types for material. I need to repair a a couple of heavy duty canvas tarps, but need to find the correct needle size and thread for my application. Thanks in advance.

Made this Saddle Tan custom dog collar with my new Cowboy 3200 sewing machine. The leather wasn't fully dry so the presser foot left marks.
