Hey guys Here is a duffel bag I recently finished. It was made with dead stock calf skin leather from the YSL (yves Saint Laurent) accessory line. It has an embossed pebble grain/stingray pattern with a durable top coat, much like Saffiano leather. The bag is sewn at 6 spi (7 tpi) with 432 fil au chinois thread. Nickle plated hardware. Here is an arrow side quiver I made to be raffled off at the United Bowhunters of Missouri Rendezvous that was held last weekend. The body and strap are made from chrome-tanned bison leather and the tan trim is deer. The orange looking leather is caiman as is the black arrowhead. The lettering was done in ring lizard and the scaled leather is tanned carp hide. I carved the buttons from deer antler and the hanging ring from moose antler. Everything was sewn by hand using artificial sinew. This archery arm guard was commissioned by a friend of mine as a birthday present for a hunting buddy of his. It is ostrich leg skin backed with vegetable-tanned cowhide. The trim is deer and I carved the lace hooks from deer antler. Everything was sewn by hand using B-50 bow string material. This is an arm guard that I made for myself. My other arm guard wasn't worn out or anything but I get a hankering for something new every once in a while. I made this one from caiman and backed it with vegetable-tanned cowhide. The arrowhead in the middle is made from ring lizard. The trim is deer and the lace hooks are deer antler. I sewed this one up using artificial sinew. Darren -
Well, it's taken me a while but I finished my wife's purse last night. It seemed like every time I got started on it again I would get a paying order so it would have to go on the back burner. Fortunately, my wife is very understanding and is just happy to show off her new bag. The body is made from bison and red deer leather. The bling is made from a variety of leather; cow, ostrich, cane toad, stingray and who knows what else. I made the clasp from a piece of turquoise and deer antler. Everything was sewn by hand using artificial sinew. Darren

I made this arm guard for one of our men in uniform down in Florida. It is Honduran caiman backed with vegetable-tanned cowhide. The trim is deer and I carved the lace hooks from deer antler. Everything was sewn by hand using artificial sinew. Darren

My daughter asked if I could make her a belt, so to the leather store we went. Would you expect anything less as I said she could pick anything she wanted:) I was not expecting it to be $80-100 to make a belt(that was elite pricing). Used light weight saddle skirting(12-13oz) with deertan cowhide lining, nice substantial belt. Been a little while since I posted anything….. What do y'all think????? Allan -
Saw this style in another thread and decided to try my hand at it. Made from 7-8oz veg tanned and lined with glazed pig skin. All hand sewn and I am really glad I didn't make it big enough to fit me lol

First time doing a front piece for a fire helmet, so I did it for my own helmet to see how it would hold up to some rough work. I want to know what you think and I'll drop the template to whoever wants it!

Here is a strap that I made for my 12 year old daughter. I copied this from one I had custom made for me, I paid $450 plus exchange and shipping($495CND). Lets just say this cost me a bit less, but about 25-30 hours of time(the love I put into it is priceless). I guess it cost me a lot because the original strap inspired me to start leatherwork.
