Non-printing pocket holster for Ruger LCP. Lightweight molded holster with slightly heavier back panel, designed to prevent printing and keep holster upright in pocket. -
Latest holster. I didn't have anything that would work for the snap attachment to the holster. I ended up grinding down the heads on the Chicago screws to fit into the male part of the snaps.

Well...just thought I'd share. This is the first pancake I've made...designed the pattern myself That's about all I'm happy with... I was thinking I should trim the end up nice and close to the end of the barrel, any thoughts on that? The stitches are terrible and 'puckery', stitch lines are a bit 'wobbly'...okay, a lot. I guess I'm happy with the tattoo work, turned out better than I thought, and the forming isn't terrible. There's no way I can deliver this, so someone's Christmas gift is probably going to be a little late... Anyways, as I said just wanted to share...as always, pointers are always welcome!

Just finished another holster, this one is for a Ruger P345 .45 acp, partially inspired by the one that Walt Longmire wears, and partially by the holsters that I've seen worn by the local troopers.

At the last show, a customer asked me for a particular holster, but wanted it to look like he'd nearly worn it out. When I finish a holster, it's snug, but wearable, certainly from the gun-fit end, but very snug on the loops and slots. He came to pick up the holster, said how great it looked, and then proceeded to bend it in half in every direction, pull it out at the mouth and muzzle and twist it. Hey, he paid for it and can do whatever he wants, but I imagine it was kind of like watching your kid go through boot camp. The photo here shows a new, pristine holster with my "aged burnishing". -
Let me know what ya think? Still have to finish out the edges and mould it.

Hi all, I just finished a hip holster for a customer, Taurus .44 Magnum. This one was a weekend quickie, but I think it turned out ok. Normally I like to add an extra curve to the top and a thong or strap for the hammer, but this one is meant to be very simple. Thanks for looking. -Jake

Second attempt at a holster

I really like how this one turned out except for some splatter to the skull which I am actually leaving alone. What can I do to keep from getting a gap around the edge? I sand the edges down prior to burnishing but there always seems to still be a gap. Thanks. -
Just finished another Kimber K6S revolver holster. The customer wanted it natural. So, for this, some A grade Hermann Oak leather was needed. Finished with Fiebing's Acrylic Resolene.

I completed my first holster. I look forward to the next one. Overall it fits pretty well. I made the mistake of attempting to sew this on my sewing machine - 3 layers of 9oz leather- that wasn't a good idea. After I mangled it up I finished sewing it by hand.

My first attempt at making a holster. I like the overall fit but I need to tweak the belt clip location I think. With the clip I'm using I. An tuck my shirt in if needed. Any suggestions critique would be appreciated.

Going to make my first cowboy action holster. I want to have outer layer, rawhide for rigidity and inner layer smooth side. I was thinking of using 8/9 for outer layer and 5/6 for inner layer. Does that sound reasonable? thanks, Cherokee Sam

A few months ago I bought the Tandy western style shoulder holster pattern - love it! Thanks for the help via the forum on finding it. But, now have a son in the military going into a professional tactical training career - and a neighbor who is a detective wanting a more modern version of a shoulder holster for work. They both liked the western style which lead to "Oh, can you make me one for my glock... with clip holder, cuff holder, laser...." Mine look like Doc Holiday! I did have a makeshift pattern for a tactical shoulder holster but old computer died and I can't find the one I printed out and taped together - it's been about two years since I made one. Anyway - they both want holster on right - clip holder on left, and officer wants a cuff holder. I can combine everything but am in need of the harness pattern. If anyone can point me towards a pattern I can purchase it would be appreciated. I'm going to start building one from scrap pieces today - but would love a pattern to look over as well. This is a Ruger lc9/lc9s holster with matching single mag pouch. The holster has a 5 degree can't. The set is smooth lined inside and left natural in color. The accent is brown Ostrich leg. I used some 6/7 and 2/3 Hermann Oak that I had on hand. The holster ended up at roughly 10 For the back and 9.5 for the front. I like this total thickness. I have been debating on getting more 8/9 or moving to 9/10. I think 9/10 will be what I get next. -
This is the first project I've posted about...Tandy Bullseye holster kit for a 6 inch S&W 686...I've created several rejects trying to make my own pattern for this one, so I thought I'd try a different route. I'm hoping that through finishing a pre-cut pattern I'll see how things come together so I can move forward with my own holster patterns. Any advice will be appreciated... Below pic shows beveling and bordering done...stamping tri-weave tonight, and then wet molding tomorrow. I have read quite a bit about this process and decided to go the tooling then forming route to see how it works out. Also, if anyone can give me tips/best practices about posts, posting pics, etc., I'd really appreciate it...thank you!
