(not easy to find parts in Canada). I live in Toronto, Canada. If anyone has a good Landis 30 for sale, please DM me the price + shipping to my house. Thank you so much,
  5. I've been tinkering with my Landis splitter trying to get it to split soft French goat. It's hit or miss but it worked well enough yesterday to do a fully lined 3 pocket cardholder. I hand skived the alligator to thin it down some and lined them with the .5mm blue goat. The larger blue goat pieces are split and lined with gray Split French goat from Talas Online. It's saddle stitched with Lin Cable, pricked with a Blanchard 9 iron. Edges are painted with Fenice. It measures 4.25 x 2.75.

  9. Looking to buy a Landis 30 splitter in good working condition. Let me know what you've got. Thanks.
  10. I have a cast iron treadle for a Landis 3 for sale. I have used this with my Landis for several years but recently motorized my Landis and do not have a use for the treadle any longer. It is in good shape and runs well. I totally refinished it and fabricated a wooden top for it when I purchased it. I am located in Coeur d'Alene, ID. It probably weighs between 100 and 150 lbs. Contact me at: winckler@wssaddles.com
  11. I have an old 110V electric belt press that I purchased from landis International in Canada. I repainted it, oiled it and placed the decals on it. Works great and very powerful. This machine will punch belt or strap holes and the tip in one punch. Comes with old die that needs to be replaced or repaired. 3-4 of the belt punch holes are missing. Very strong and rare model that I believe was made by a company called Conseco. Price is $1900 Please message me if seriously interested. You must pickup at my shop in zip code 90731 located in Los Angeles, Ca area.
  12. We are selling out our complete shoe repair and custom bootmaking shop in Poplar Bluff, Mo. We have two post machines that are like new, bought from Nick o Sew a couple years ago, one single needle, one double needle. There is also a Boss Tippman that is still just like new bought only a year ago. The rest of the shop equipment is older but in good working condition. There are 250 pairs of cowboy boot lasts and shoe lasts on which 7 toe styles can be made...some barely used. Full size runs with widths from AA to EEE or wider are represented in most styles. There are lots of supplies including thread, soling leather, rubber soling, heel bases and lifts, upper leathers and even some exotics. Would like to sell as a complete package. Buyer must come to the shop and arrange moving. Call 573-686-4545. No calls after 9pm central time please. I will not respond to texts. I can email detailed photos upon request. Asking price for complete shop package is $15,000. Let`s talk.
  13. Picked up this little beast today and have a few questions for those of you that are familiar with them. First, when were these made? I've read that they made two versions this being the later one. Second, how do I sharpen the blade? It seems to work ok but I'm sure that it needs sharpening. I love old tools and am excited to start using it!
  14. Landis Model L Outsole Stitching Machine from a departed shoemaker's estate. Excellent outsole / welt stitcher in fine working condition. This antique curved needle sewing machine has a modern drive system compared to earlier letter K & G machines. Model L parts and service are all readily from Landis International or their dealers across the USA. Email for details, photos or a shipping quote. OPEN TO OFFERS ... I'll crate, you pay the freight! Email: info@advigor.com
  15. Landis Belt Press that I bought in Canada directly from Landis factory and I refurbished it cosmetically. This machine is 110V electric and will punch all belt holes and tip of belt with ease. The current die is the original and comes with the sale but this machine needs a new die made. Everything works great, but again, the die needs replacing which you can have made by Campbell-Randall for $350-$400. Motor is very strong, has fresh paint and oiled well. This is a very rare machine and I have never found one like it. Used in my belt shop but need to make room in shop for bigger equipment. Foot pedal and hand operation methods (they are interlinked so operate as you choose. Asking $3800. Must pick up or YOU arrange for it to be picked up. I can crate to for you for $200. This is a rare and reliable piece of machinery for your leather shop. Don't let it pass you by. Questions? Please reply to post thanks! My zip code is 90731 which is where this machine is located.
  16. Hello, I'm in the market for a 6" splitter, have been looking at a few Landis splitters but am open to other options. Does anyone here have one that they're looking to get rid of? I'm also looking for a good burnisher motor, and a clicker or hydraulic press. Thank you, Andrew
  17. I am putting the feelers out for a good needle and awl stitcher. I'd prefer to find one in the north-east Tennessee/ south-west Virginia area but you know what they say about wanting in one hand lol. Just let me know.
  18. I bought an old Landis 36 McKay and it is decent shape, aside from the shuttle mechanism which I was able to replace. Unfortuantely it was missing one Friction Disk Shifter Link. Part # 36-12-22. I have tried calling Landis and a few other machinery companies with no luck. Anyone got any leads? The assistance would be GREATLY appreciated.

  22. Seeking a skiver with at least a 2' throat (50mm) I already own a clutch motor but would possibly be interested in a table and motor combo. But would also be interested in just a head unit. Please contact or refer me to anyone in the Pacific Northwest. Im in Portland OR. Thanks!
  23. I recently purchased a Landis #1 from a fellow down the road who is scaling down his business. I've scoured the internet and found lots of people who own them but no one ever seems to mention what size or type of thread they are running. If anyone has any info it would be greatly appreciate. Also, if you know of a source for the thread in Canada that would be even better! Cheers
  24. Line Finisher For Sale This is part of the machinery and equipment that came out of the Safety Speed Holster factory, in Bullhead, AZ. This is one of the machines Safety Speed used for burnishing their edges. I know that they used Tip Top Finishing Wax originally to finish their edges, but the company that produced it it long since closed it's doors. After that they had Hauthaway analyze and reproduce the wax for them. I am in talks with Hauthaway about producing this again, and I should have it available for purchase soon, in black, neutral, some browns and some burgundy/cordovan shades as well. All depends on what their minimum orders are. I will post as soon as I have them available. I cannot find any marking for what brand it is, but it is probably Landis, Champion or American.
