    Mazzy1988

Hi, new here and new to leather working and heavy machines, minus my old singer 96k. (But been working as seamstress at menswear shop 11years so have a general knowledge of sewing) I have just bought a second hand singer 45k89 but it only came with the one foot. I am wondering if anyone can help me find more feet and possibly a bobbin winder that attaches to the machine body (not the table, if that makes any sense) I have asked a company called college sewing online but they have ignored my message and I’ve scoured eBay and I’m only finding bobbins and cases. So thought I’d ask a forum of people who know! Thanks in advance any help is much appreciated!
  2. I have not been able to find the female half of the hinges for a Singer 112w139. These are the part of the hinge that mounts on the table to allow the machine to be tilted back. Ebay has a few of the male half that mount to the machine itself, but not the female. The male part uses a curved tab that appears to mount in a slot, but it isn't even shown in the parts book, so I can't even find a picture. The machine is so heavy that it is extremely difficult to lift strait up for access to the underside for adjusting and oiling. I have searched for any source of these parts and have been unable to find any.
  3. Hello! Any suggestion on European sites where i can find spare parts for Adler machines. Not just presser foot and bobbins! i am looking for this one!
  4. Open to sensible offers for these rare SD28 parts..in pounds sterling £ Will post worldwide at cost..buyer is responsible for any import duties/taxes. Shuttle/hook with 2 bobbins...hook looks good and it picks up thread in my machine, has some surface rust and pitting on the bottom. 2 more spare bobbins. Super rare harness stitching plate with edge guide and screw..in great condition. Needle strike plate or whatever it is called...size 5/6 14 used needles...some have slight surface rust and or wax build up but could be cleaned, sharpened a re-used? Mostly size 6 with a few 5s I think? In my other post I have a fully working Junker & Ruh SD28 with needles for sale.
  5. Hi, I was wondering if anyone might be able to help me. I am looking for a specific part for a Pearson #6 machine. Unfortunately I don't know much at all about these machines... so if I have got information wrong or I am using the wrong terminology I apologise in advance. The picture I have attached of the part is really low res but it is the metal plate that holds the shuttle in that I am missing. I don't know if the picture is of the same machine but it's the only reference image of a similar part I could find online. Ideally I would love to be able to purchase this part from somewhere (and it doesn't have to be in New Zealand, although that does make it easier) but other wise if there is someone in Auckland that has one of these machines that I could look at and could get a metal worker to make a new part from an existing part. If anyone has any info that could help me even just the right terminology for this part it would be hugely appreciated! Thanks so much!
  6. Okay, sort of a short lead up. I’m new here. I’ve been looking for a used walking foot sewing machine (I know, join the club, apparently) that will work for a newbie. I think I’m looking for a machine for light to medium duty leather work for bags, and small goods in vegan and chrome tan leather. But I don’t think I’m ready to go whole hog and get a new $2-4,000 machine. Live been looking at both flatbed and cylinder arm machines such as the conservative and Juki types but I think I’d like to start on a used machine such as the Pfaff flatbed 1245, 545, or the cylinder 335. So I finally found one available for around $1000 but I think it’s missing a grease housing cover in the craigslist photos so I ended up finding a machine diagram, then a parts list, and then a website that has parts for a reasonable price. Impressive. Check out my findings for a 1245 grease housing front and back: Diagram list:: https://www.universalsewing.com/tek9.asp?pg=parts_pfaff#expanded scroll down to 1245 then the actual diagram: https://www.universalsewing.com/images2/parts_lists/all/6mdl64b0.pdf Go to page 16 to see the housing that surrounds the transfer gears that power the bobbin. Part numbers 91-141 546-05 and 91-141 545-05 So so I go searching and I find a site that apparently sells these two pieces for under a dollar. https://www.strima.com/pfaff/cat/pg-484/st-0/k-2002309/ Sure. Great find. But knowing I can replace many of these parts at all is a boon on a machine that’s likely as old as I am! I’m impressed with myself and that got me the nerve to post on this here forum in hopes it helps someone else, too. Cheers! Also, if you have additional tips for this noob I’m all ears. This forum is fantastic.

    Pfaff 1245 706/47

I recently purchased a Pfaff 1245 706/47 (Older style in great condition), and I'm having trouble finding presser and walking feet that actually fit. I've tried a couple of the inexpensive ones from on-line stores with no luck. The so-called "Matching Sets" don't actually match. One presser foot had the wrong size hole, so the shoulder of my screw would not pass through it. Another walking foot would not slide onto the shaft because the diameter of the hole was too small. Can anyone refer me to a reliable supplier that might have actual OEM Pfaff parts rather than the after market stuff? I have found a few feet that are advertised as "Original," but the prices are over $100 in some cases, so I'm also wondering if this is the going rate for OEM Pfaff parts? This is my first attempt at a forum, so please bear (I had to check Bare or Bear?) with me.
  8. I bought a replacement for the tension assembly on my Consew 226. When it arrived, I realized it was very poor quality, and the spring tension was insufficient to sew. I also noticed that the tension discs were offset from the controller spring assembly. On the original, these two parts are nearly in the same plane. On the replacement, the tension discs stick out further from the machine. At any rate, I am looking for a high quality tension assembly for my 226. Ideally it would be made in Japan with comparable quality to the original Seiko part. I like the kind with the double-wide tension nut, as it seems to help keep the threaded rod straight. Any ideas where to source a good tension assembly? Everywhere I search seems to turn up the same inexpensive (and ineffective) version. Thanks

    Singer 97-10 Parts

I have parts from the lower portion of a singer 97-10, everything from the pedal to the flywheel. The parts i have are included in the pictures, i have no idea how much these parts are worth, if anything. so if you are interested please message me. http://imgur.com/a/H35N1
  10. I desperately need a Hook Driving Pinion Thrust Washer #224022 in a hurry
  11. My new toy, the Adler 205/370 with Efka variostop is now in my living room. I am taking the main parts off, as the table needs modifying. It was not quite up to the travelling. Also I will not be using the Variostop and pneumatic stuff. I have taken off the Camozzi air operating cylinders for reverse and foot lift. The reverse lever now does not stay in place. The parts book shows a detent ball and spring thing for the zero or neutral position. I cannot see anything else in the parts book that is used to keep the reverse lever up. Is friction between the plastic block on the lever and the plastic faceplate supposed to do the job? Or what parts am I missing?

    Shoe parts Cutting Dies

Shoe parts Cutting Dies Hi all, Can anyone advise on where I can purchase some cutting dies for baby shoes? Thank you
  13. Hey all, I'm looking into restoring a Singer 7-33 machine. Looking to get the upper and lower thread tensioning assemblies. Anyone have any ideas where I might pick these up at a reasonable price? Thanks, Jim Rasmussen
  14. Hi folks I was just wondering if anyone could help me. I've got a singer 29k15 and the main shaft, part number 82010, had got a slight bend in it. Which means it won't treadle. Does anyone know where I can get a replacement for it, or does anyone have one that they wouldn't mind selling me. I've looked on ebay and there is nothing in the UK. I can get hold of the same part for a 29k 71. Would this part fit in my machine? Cheers Tim
  15. hey everyone, I need some needles, bobbins and bobbin holders for my Singer 29K58 and my Singer 31-15. Is there someone in Canada who carries such things and if so, whom???
  16. Hi All, Wondering if anyone knows if parts for a Nippy NP-1(?) bell knife skiver are available in Australia anywhere? I have a mostly complete unit rescued from the tip as a TAFE college shut down. The skiver is missing a small drive shaft that turns the stone inside the bell knife. It's a shame not to be able to use it just because of one little part....... Last I looked the Nippy site in Japan was pretty hard to navigate or understand, hence asking for someone that speaks Aussie(or even tolerable english) and hopefully can tell their billabongs and bunyips apart. Thanks!

    45K21 For Sale

I have for sale a 45k21. It is a nice looking machine except it is worn out. I installed a new shuttle in it and it still will not sew. I tried to get it to sew but to no avail. The photos show some of the problems with the machine. The "green" photo with the red circle is a tapered screw with a tapered flat spot to locate the part it holds in place this was installed incorrectly. I took the screw out and realigned the parts and put it back together. The nut in the middle photo is the opposite side of the tappered screw. Just to the left of the nut is the end of the rocking device for the shuttle drive shaft. This screw is not missing. If you remove the screw the shuttle can not be retimed. There is a tapered drive pin to the left of the screw. The only way to adjust the shuttle timing is to remove the drive pin and reinstall the screw and use the screw to hold the shaft. The new shuttle brings the hook to the middle of the needle after moving the 3/16th inch up to retard the timing the hook in just 1/16 inch to the left of the needle. This position does not allow time to form the loop to sew. Thas is as far as I have gone and am going. This is the 3rd week trying to fix this thing. I have had enough. I did find some screws and parts that are worn and parts installed incorrectly. Some one tried to fix the machine before I bought it and failed. They probably had the same problem I have. I can't find parts for the machine. So I would like to sell it as a parts machine. It is missing the wax pot, the lifting arm for the pressor foot. It has a bobbin winder on the right side of the machine. I will take some pictures and post them. The head only is for sale not the table. I would like 350 for the head plus shipping. Thank you for your interest.
  19. Over the years I have hunted for these parts, and no one would sell them unless I purchased ridiculous quantities. I have now bought ridiculous quantities, and am offering these to fellow craftsmen and women, in small quantity packages. Parts to Choose From: Thumb Break Springs, $10 for a pack of 10 Anti-rub Snap Covers that go on line 24 snaps, $10 for a pack of 10 http://www.highdesertleather.com/product/diy-parts While you are there browse my conceal and carry holsters!
  20. I just acquired a Chandler Fringing machine. I am looking for parts to convert it to a pinking machine as well as a manual and spare parts. Anyone have one of these? Mike
  21. I've just acquired a Singer 29-4 Cobbler's Treadle Sewing Machine. I love it. But I have a problem, no screws to hold the head to the treadle base. I've purchased some screws from the hardware store, 6-32 and 8-32's but they do not work. Threads are different. I've tried what I thought might work, out of an abundance of screws I have around my shop. Does anyone have any idea what size these screws are? I figure somewhere around a 3/16ths fine but I'm not sure. It would be awesome if someone had some that I could get from them I would gladly pay. I'd really like to keep this machine as close to original as possible. It's a 1908 model and works beautifully.
  22. I realize that this is a long shot, but does anybody have an old Universal Model KNB domestic machine lying around ? I broke the bobbin winder on mine, and would like to replace it. I use this machine quite a lot for everything EXCEPT leather and canvas quite frequently. I know aftermarket bobbin winders are available, and I can wind them on one of my other machines, but this one has been my friend of many years, and I would like to fix it with an original part. The machine was a popular Japanese make back in the 50's and 60's, so parts would be kinda scarce.
  23. I was recently given a 52 w 22 ,two needle singer machine. Does anyone know if any parts are available for these relics? I have tried everything online I could find, and no one has anything listed. I need a throat plate, tension assembly, bobbin shuttle and race, and bobbin case cover. It is currently at about 1/16" gauge, but if I could find a needle bar and throat plate and dogs for 1/4" gauge, I would change it over. If anyone has a junker, I would be interested in most of the drive parts. Gump
  24. Hi Guys Ive been looking at a few used machines lately and wondering if the needle plate, feed dog and cylinder cover plate for the pfaff 335, Seiko LSC and the consew 277 are interchangeable? Thanks. Marjan
