My Juki LU 562 is not moving fabric through as it sews. I think it’s because the stitch length is set very short (I had a safety clutch trip, and whist fixing that, somehow this has happened). When I press the button to adjust the stitch length, the hand wheel is jammed and will not turn at all to change the stitch length, although it moves freely when that button is not pressed. Where should I start in trying to fix this?

So, I have been trying to shorten my stitch length on my 241-12 forever... I FINALLY got the length to the tiniest stitch possible, as a test- now I cannot for the life of me get it to lengthen again- it’s like the feed dogs are barely moving material now. HELP! What was a cosmetic issue just turned into a completely different monster... suggestions, please!

I’ve got my Consew 226 about ready to put into use, except that I can’t figure out how to balance the forward and reverse stitch lengths. This is the older version of the 226, but I’m not sure which one. It’s not an “R” machine. The reverse stitch length is a much shorter length than the forward. Did I miss a thread where this was discussed? The Consew 226 is built differently than the Singer 111G156, so I can’t use the Singer guide. Thanks for any help. CD in Oklahoma

as a newby to machine stitching leather, I wonder what sort of stitch length would be good for small leather items like wallets and so on. normally hand stitching i would use 0.6 tiger at 3,38 mm, now looking at possibly #92 bonded nylon or even #69 welcome suggestions. using 111G155

Is there a general rule of thumb when it comes to choosing the correct stitch to use on your machine. For example is it based on the strength or thickness of the two pieces of leather you are joining, or is it purely for cosmetic reasons. I have spoken to people at sewing centers, leather shops, and sewing machine service reps and nobody seems to be able to give me a straight answer. Thanks

Trying to figure out how to adjust the stitch length in a way other than with the manual states. As you can see by the attached photo, that’s just not going to work. If anyone can help me out I sure would appreciate it. -
Hi all. I am very new to my Pfaff 335b (old casting). I have the manual and hunted through hundreds of videos and posts and I am having trouble with the stitch length. The machine was transported via trailer so my feelings are that something has come loose somewhere. I know that the maximum stitch length for this machine is 5mm at best, which is fine for me as I don't sew extremely thick leather or vinyl. My issue is that I am only getting a 1-2.5mm stitch length. There is very little forward motion of the middle foot and it feels like it sticks at a certain point if I am hand cranking it. Before I do a 10hr round trip to my nearest repairer, does anyone have any suggestions, please? Bear in mind I am mechanically challenged. I am also new to this forum so not sure how to upload a video. Is there any chance someone can post a video of the motion while being hand cranked or a link to a video? Thanks in advance!

I've been using the CB4500 for about a week but am having trouble with the stitch length adjustment. Unfortunately, this model doesn't come with a user manual and what I need hasn't been found in YouTube videos. What can I do? Any help would be appreciated. -
I just got a juki lu-562 walking foot sewing machine. I can get it to sew thinner leather, but when I switch to thicker leather, the thread keeps breaking. Would increasing the needle size solve this issue?

Hi all! I'm needing your help again I have a Seiko STH 8BLD 3, which looks exactly like a Consew 206rb5. So here is my issue and I have no idea if this has anything to do with it or not, but I put a speed reducer on it and that is when the problem began. I don't know if it got off track just from being handled while putting the reducer on or what. But my reverse stitch length is too long and doesn't go into the holes, it veers off a little bit and seems like when the needle is coming up, it sort of pulls as the stitching is looser and you can hear it. I have searched the forums and can't find anything that addresses this, and followed the instruction is my manual, but it doesn't help. I watched Uwe's awesome video and used his template, but it was on a Juki and looks totally different from mine underneath. But I found what I thought was it, but after trying the procedure and it didn't help, I found out from my manual that I was adjusting the wrong thing. So I put it back it it's normal place. These are the two dots that my manual says to make even and it should fix it, but it didn't. Can anyone help me? Thanks in advance! Also this is what mine looks like underneath. -
Can anyone tell me what would cause my stitch length to change on its own? I have a Seiko STH LBD-3, basically the same machine as the Consew 206rb-5. I had my stitch length set to 5.5. Before I began I tested on scrap pieces of leather and all was fine. I notice it seems whenever I encounter a part a little thicker or that has an awkward position the machine changes stitches on it's own. It began sewing at 3 and as I continued to sew it went back to 5.5. Anyone know what happened or why?

I'm trying to get my 441 clone to have an accurate stitch length and sew in the same holes backwards and forwards. It only does this for some lengths. I understand how to make the adjustment, but I'm curious as to what the correct position for the stitch length lever is at the zero point. Should the middle of the lever align with the mark, or should the top of the lever? The lever is pretty chunky and imprecise but I'd like to be able to accurately set a specific stitch length so I can pattern things so the stitches end up exactly at the corners. This also applies to the max stitch length end, what part of the bar should align with the 11mm mark? Is this correct Or this: Thanks. -
Hi im new to this forum , I have just gotten a new to me 206rb1 consew , the problem I am having is the stich length , its says in the book it can do 7mm stitch length ( wich is 3 3/8 stitches per inch ) but the best I could get it to do was 4 1/8 stitches per inch I replaced dog needle plate , and took it apart bottom end put it back together and fixing to set all the settings on this machine per the manual . Is there an adjustment that will reduce or lengthen the stitch other than the stitch lever ? Or 4 1/8 stitch per inch is the norm for this machine , any help would be appreciated thank you.

Why is the stitching length change by itself when I'm sewing? It switches to a different stitch size after reversing and going forward again?! This is so frustrating hopefully someone out there can answer this?

Does anyone know the proper adjustment for the Feed Adjustment Link eccentric screw in a 441 Clone? It's not in the enginner manual. I am having trouble with the reverse stitch matching up to the previouys stitch holes. Sometimes it reverses to every other stitch, sometimes the first reverse stitch is off, but the stich width is spot on if I manually position it. Sometimes the stitch is off by 1 mm on every one. Took some photos to show what adjustment point I am talking about. The Front View pic shows the screw under the stitch length lever to loosen the eccentric screw shown in the side view pic. I have tried multiple settings but to no avail. It's my understanding that if I hit the correct setting, any stitch made in forward mode can be reversed into previous stitches. I have been able to pull this off with 11mm stitches but not 6mm. Also, are there other areas needing readjustment after messing with this part of the 441? Seems like it's throwing off the walking foot hieght.
