  1. Should I have just said a Juki clone? Long time lurker, first time posting here, so please be kind. I know @Frankqv has a nice setup for his Cowboy 3200 for sale with press, drill, and hand skiver, but I am really looking for something with a 7/8” capability. You know what they say…don’t buy a machine that is already at your max, because you’ll need something bigger. So true… I currently have a Cobra Class 20 that I like, but I’m being asked to fix tack that is quickly getting beyond the machines capacity. I’ve scoured the usual sites, but have yet to find one close enough that would be less expensive than buying new. This is something I do to help out a local stable that teaches kids to ride, so I fix their stuff for free. My work is ugly, but it does what it is supposed to and I’m getting better. Would love a Cobra Class 4 to match the 20, but at this point I’m not picky! Please let me know if you have something that fits the ask and you are in Central Florida! Ocala, Orlando, Tampa. Thanks!!
  2. Hello Everyone, Here is a link to the first video in the Cobra Class 4 video series. Hope this helps and each week a new video gets posted. Setting up your Cobra Class 4 Sewing Machine
  3. The Cobra and Techsew big packages offer similar capacities and attachments other than the Techsew having the laser guide and coming with EPS. Are there any other significant differences? I know Cobra is all American made, but don't know about Techsew. I don't know if Cowboy offers an everything and the kitchen sink pkg or not, but would certainly entertain it as another American made option. Decisions decisions...
  4. Like new Cobra Class 4 premium package. Used less than 1 hour. I had a holster business and Tandy Leather dealership years ago. Thought I would get back into it and changed my mind. Machine, several spools of thread (black, brown etc.), tool box, maule, punches, knives, bevelers, swivel knife, HD stamp/rivet press, dies for press, Clicker Dies: two types of western holsters, iwb, pancake, foldover for small caliber, cowboy cuffs (2), gun belt buckle and tongue dies, rounder, practice piece, arrow head, spur straps, iwb leather belt loop. These are high quality clicker dies with almost no wear. YOU DO NOT NEED A CLICKER TO USE DIES - you simply lay the die on concrete or other hard surface (blade up), place you leather over the die and tap around the die with a maul or mallet. In minutes you have a perfect cut out. The concealment holster dies are not shown and are steel rule/plywood dies. The press is not shown either. I forgot to mention that I have an extra motor/tabletop for the sewing machine. Also some gun molds (red gun and Duncan alum) $3800. These items are included with the machine: Premium Accessory Package: Left Toe Presser Foot $75* Open Toe Center Foot $65* Double Toe Presser Foot $80* Right Toe Presser Foot $75* Work Platform $95* Holster Plate $156* Stirrup Plate $156* Slotted Plate $85* Blanket Set (Inside & Outside Feet w/ Feed Dog) $150* Heavy Duty Roller Edge Guide $95* Pair of Thread Nippers $2* LDA-1 Magnetic LED Light $20* Owner and parts manual
  5. Hey everyone I'm selling a cobra Class 4 premium sewing machine. It's has less then 5 hours of running basically new. I have two of theses machines and would like to sell this one. Comes with everything you see in the pictures, two spools of thread and tools. Thank you. ernestomurillo92@yahoo.com
  6. I'm selling my COBRA Class 4-P Premium sewing machine. I purchased this machine new in 2012. I haven't used it enough to justify keeping it. I need the space. It is in excellent condition. It includes the PREMIUM ACCESSORY PACKAGE (all available presser feet and plates as well as needles and bobbins) and BRUSHLESS POSITIONER MOTOR WITH SYNCHRONIZER providing Needle Up and Needle Down Positioning. I'm in Southern Utah about 20 miles from St George. If interested you can email me at ppwincv@gmail.com Asking $1,950.00 cash only please. Thanks, Phil
  7. I purchased a Cobra Class 4 last year directly from Cobra Steve in Ontario CA. I almost immediately had issues with heavy dry leather. I was breaking needles and eventually skipping stitches. I had some personal issues and wasn't able to bring the machine in for tuning right away. After almost a year and many frustrating attempts to make the machine work as it was intended, I spoke to Steve about getting it tuned. Steve was willing to send a box and cover all shipping costs both ways. This would have cost him hundreds for sure. I'm only an hour away from the shop and decided I'd just bring it in to him. Well, the LMC Master Tech Tony walked me through every adjustment necessary, explained why it needed to be adjusted and how the machine worked from top to bottom. Literally an hour and a half at least. I walked away with a significantly better knowledge of my machine and of course, a perfectly tuned stitcher. Tony showed me exactly what I was doing wrong, why I was breaking needles and how I created the issues in the first place. Steve didn't charge me a penny, he even said that if it goes out of tune again, he'd fix it for free....again. I worked for many years in customer service and was absolutely blown away at how well I was treated. The entire drive home I said to myself what an amazing company this is. I created all the issues and he fixed them for nothing...who does that? I'll need another (replacing my 5th) sewing machine in the reasonably near future and had been eyeing a Juki for many months. Now, I'll only buy from Cobra Steve. He's got a machine for every level of stitching that I will ever use and with service like this, there is no question where I'll buy it. Thank you to Cobra Steve, Tony and Vince at Leather Machine Co. You guys are the BEST! Red
  8. Cobra class 4 premium leather sewing machine for sale. Comes with all the attachments, instructional video, owners manual and three spools of thread. Everything that originally came with the machine comes with it. The sewing machine itself has less than an hours time on it. It's basically brand new. I am selling it because I am moving and slowing down business for the moment. Asking $2400. Contact Colin via phone or text @ 406-249-7686 I am willing to ship. Sewing machine is located in northwest Montana Thanks!
  9. I recently acquired a brand new Cobra Class 4 machine. I am having a problem with stitching with it. It will sew the first few stitches just fine but then it starts skipping stitches and then starts shredding the thread. It looks like the needle is piercing the thread as it stitches. I have the top tension almost all the way out and the bobbin tension is in the middle and yet it looks like the top is super tight. I don't want to mess with the timing without knowing what I'm doing. Anyone have any thoughts?
  10. Hello, To all aspiring saddle and tack makers - This is a quick review of the machine I just bought which is a Cobras Class 4- I am writing this strictly to help you make a major decision - I know it took me hours and days of sifting though information and reviews online as well as calling the various 441 clone makers to decide on a machine - I hope this simplifies the process for you. I personally found that the decision was a hard one to make - It's a big investment, and there are many conflicting opinions online which confuse a rookie like myself. My goal was to buy a machine which would be: A) easy to use for a newbie, Sew as heavy as skirts to fleece for saddles, C) Sew as light as making a pair of armitas, D) be fairly fool proof. My decision to purchase the Class 4 was based on: 01 - A saddle maker who owns this machine highly recommended it and Steve as well - He told me it was the easiest machine to use he's ever encountered. 02 - I believe that this machine will hold it's value relatively well. 03 - It is fairly versatile 04 - Controlability of sewing speed 05 - Steve and Cobra are well regarded Prior to receiving this machine I had used a home owners grade machine maybe once so I am a complete rookie in the sewing world. However, the Cobra set-up very easily. I might have spent an hour or so setting it up. I then probably spent three+ hours sewing scrap material - It definitely takes some getting used to if you aren't familiar with running a sewing machine. I would highly recommend to any new sewing machine owner to spend as much time as you need to feel completely comfortable sewing and making tension adjustments before starting into an actual project. If not, I can guarantee you will wreck a piece or two. Anyhow, it probably took me about 4 hours to get the hang of this machine - I have now completed a couple of items - A simple spade bit hanger (pic attached), a pulling style breast collar and some rear billets for my saddle. The machine is very easy to use. Once you get the hang of it really works well - The speed control is amazing. I can literally sew as slow as I want to (Very slow at times for this rookie) and I find the tension adjustments between leather thicknesses and thread sizes fairly easy and intuitive. The bottom line is I am very happy with my purchase, The machine works well - I have sewn two layers of light chap leather together with ease and as heavy as 3/4" skirting with ease as well. I will post some pictures of projects I complete over the next while. My hope is that this will help the rest of you aspiring sewing machine owners out there make a simple informed decision. Regards, Ron L
