Hello! I've been researching all the leather cutting options for a while now. So I am new at leathercrafting but I would like to find a way to make perfect cuts so I could make good products. I have very little space - 1.5x1.5 sq.m. and I need a little machine for that purpose. The options I researched are as follows: Laser To use a laser for cutting skin, it is necessary that the laser has a power of at least 10 watts. Mandatory should be added air assist to get less skin burns, encloser, as well as perfect ventilation. My space is easy open air area and I would not have problem with ventilating. Lasers that would work for me are the following: Wainlux K8 - That would be the best option due to size and portability. The big downside is the working area /130x130 mm maximum/; Longer Ray5 10 W - may the best option for me. Ortur LM3 Laser Ortur LM3 LE Laser Engraving & Cutting Machine Atomstack X12 Pro Atomstack P9 M50 xTool M1 10W - best quality. May be the first laser and also with blade for cutting. CNC with drag knife - looks good but very big and loudly. Not compatible for me. Cricut Maker 3 & Cameo 5 - both look amazing. They can cut leather but I don`t know. i would like to know your opinion about that those two. Sizzix - I find on amazon "superdant" store. There cutting dies for leather which work with sizzix - 1/2/3/4 . But that`s it. I don`t know if they can make it custom patterns and I have doubts for the quality. Clicker press - I think that would be the best option for me to buy low cost clicker press. I was looking that ones by vevor: 1/2/3 . I have problem with their weight - around 30-40 kg. I was looking for a smaller by zonesun like that ones: 1/2/3 - but I would by a machine for 120-200 $ and pay 200 $ shipping .... Arbor press - looks good for 50-100 $ I could buy an arbor press 1 or 2 tons. But than I have to order a base and the only good option I found is that one - link . The cost is 120 $ without taxes and shipping so no thanks. I would like to start with wallets and small stuff - no bigger than a medium bag. I try to cut by hand but the finish is not good enough for me. I don`t like it and got frustrated. I'm already seriously confused about which path to choose to start with. I ask for your opinion.

Hello crafters and business people. I have a used 25 ton Herman Schwabe clicker press to sell. It is a beast and works like a charm. It has a giant cutting bed that measures 30”x39” which is big enough to click out most anything. It runs off of 3 phase electric but it comes with a power converter so that it can be run about anywhere. Asking 4k or better offer.

Interested in selling a United Shoe Machinery Company ICM-C leather clicker, used in late 70s and early 80s by my father who made fire bellows for LL Bean. I last saw it up and running in 2015 but have not tried to run it since. Haven’t located a manual for it. Research shows the machine is from 1958, stamped ICM-901. Located in WI northwoods. I’ll help load anyway I can. Also have 500+ feet of Swiss chocolate Heritage leather, grade TR-X and other bellows-making material. Originally purchased from Cudahy Tanning Company out of Cudahy, WI which merged with Prime Tanning Company out of Maine in 2007. -
Lightly used Mighty Wonder clicker press and sturdy, adjustable height workbench for sale! Both pieces in great shape. Asking $1,200 for the pair together. The press was originally $1,500, and the workbench was over $300. The workbench has a solid butcher block top, with holes drilled for the clicker to bolt securely through the surface. NYC company is selling an almost new Master Tools 8 Ton Clicker. Approx. 1 year old. It's their newest version, with a welded top. Selling with cutting board -- one side completely new, the other side has some cuts into the board. It can handle fairly large dies for cutting and embossing. They used it to cut 10oz leather. Can be shipped on a pallet from Brooklyn New York. If you'd like to estimate shipping cost, the machine on a pallet is about 370lb. From my shop that closed in 2015. Good sharp Weaver-made clicker dies. Billets shown with ruler for size. The regular and crossdraw holsters are Meanea patterns and make the final product pictured. The holster dies are for 7 1/2" Colts and clones and the pattern can be shortened to fit shorter guns. Pictures are of 7 1/2" and 5 1/2" holsters Sorry I didn't have better images. Hello everyone! I’m new to the forum. I started my leathercraft journey earlier this year. My business has been taking off and I’m now in the market for a clicker press. I’d like to find a nice used one that’s not to expensive. ~ $400 - $800 range depending on the press, including shipping costs. I’m hoping there’s someone out there that has upgraded to something larger, power, or even laser and doesn’t need their 4 ton or smaller manual clicker press anymore. Hi folks! I’m new to the forum, I hope this is the right place to post this. I’m considering purchasing a Hytronic cutting press that came up for sale for a good price (I think?) but I really don’t know anything about them so I don’t know what I’m getting myself into. Google search isn’t giving me much info about the press, I’m wondering if the person selling it didn’t give me the whole model number, or if there just isn’t any info online about these things. It’s in the seller’s storage so I can’t test it out first, but I want it to cut 5oz chromexel pieces with the largest die measuring 12” x 6.” My understanding is that the machine is a 220v power, not air compressor. Any info or familiarity you might have with this machine is appreciated. Thank you!

I was in the market for a steel rule die and searched online -- preferably for a local shop in NJ. After contacting 3 companies for quotes, 2 responded and one had the better price. I sent out my emails in the evening and by next morning, Eric from http://ruleonedies.com was the first to respond. He quoted me a good price, paid via paypal and was surprised to get an email the next day that it was shipped out. So, it took just 2 days from emailing a design to receiving my finished die. That's some insanely fast turn-around time. I ordered the steel rule in a clear base. I printed my Adobe Illustrator file onto paper and clicked over it with the die -- exact match! The die is sharp but I need two passes on my Weaver Might Wonder press to get the full knock-out due to the size. When one of my hobbies demand a tool my other hobby skills come to the rescue. Starting out in leatherwork I may not have the money to have fancy equipment but I do have the means to build what I need. Maybe someday I may get into selling more leather creations but for now, I am just preparing in case I do get serious in the future by having fun building cool things now. The die bender is very simple and works well. Using Autodesk Inventor software I worked out a functioning model to build into a tables surface and a handle to push downward to counterforce any table movement that it may cause. I already have an idea to make a different version that will be able to change out the bending points (whatever they are called) and stay out of the way of the bending steel rule on itself by making most of the mechanism under the surface of the table like a few commercial designs out there. The manual clicker press (pictured below) I made after a mini hydraulic press I saw online. Made some improvements by welding the joints solid instead of nuts and bolts (nobody ever takes them apart) for better rigidity and with tighter tolerances on the sliding parts so the press works smooth and solid. Still, need a few tweaking on both machines but overall they were a success for my needs. I would not recommend anyone asking me to make one for them because you can purchase the same class of tools in the open market for the same cost of what I would charge to make plus, the shipping cost. That said, in material cost, the press was estimated 40$-50$ and the die bender was built from scrap I had laying around. I am always open to suggestions and ideas for DIY projects like this that starving artisans like myself can benefit.

Has anyone used this clicker for bullhide? I plan to use it with dies that are about 8” x 8” Also wondering about cutting footbeds out of 9/10 oz veg tan Any advice? Recommendations?
