  1. Hello, I am a newby to leather sewing machines. I am buying an Adler Cylinder Arm 49-2 and would love more information on it. I have been searching the net but no luck. Looking to see if Singer made an equivalent. Looking for a manual. And looking for any opinions. I have attached a picture.TIA
  2. Hello everyone! I really need help with assembling a pedestal style sewing machine table/stand. Purchased it online and came without instruction manual. Bought it for my Juki-246 cylinder arm sewing machine. I have a general idea of where the parts goes, but no idea which screws or bolt to use. If you have one if these, please share some photos of yours. This is what I have received: The assembled table should look very similar to this one below. Thanks in advance! Jesse
  3. Hello Leather Crafters. this may be long-winded.. I cant seem to find topics to answer my questions on the presser foot lift and the Knife removal NOTE: sorry -i did not realize the names of the photos would not show up with the photo a few weeks ago I posted about my needle bar issue. I received the new needle bar rocker and have the machine put back together and I have more questions. My machine was used for binding pics attached for the binding setup (binder 1,2,3) does anyone want to buy this? binder So lets start with image 12 and image 11 : On image 11 you can see a double set of arms. the tall T arm in the back seems have been(previously) connected to a solenoid to release pressure on the thread tensioner.. NO matter if this is pulled from the skinny cable going down through the base or the manual foot lift is used, there is nothing to push the pin in and release the pressure on the front tensioner. Image 10 shows the pin and metal slider, The slider does not really even touch the pin when the manula foot lift or the T-arm is moved.. maybe something is missing On image 12, the long arm (outside arm)pivots on the center (pivot point) and has an adjustable arm(black skinny shaft) that lifts up on the tension release mechanism but does nothing to lift the presser foot. in image 11 you can see the black metal bracket that was bolted to the (Long foot lifter arm) and had a solenoid attached to the back of the machine(covering the round hole so when the solenoid was activated, it pushed down the arm to lift the foot...I think.. but there is nothing on the presser foot side that would lift the linkage for the presser foot image 9 shows the solenoid that was inside the head (round hole area) under the arm of the machine is the solenoid that was on the back cover over the round hole.. The body of the solenoid was attached to the cover plate and when activated would push down to activate the long arm and I believe there should have been something else connected to lift the presser foot up ================================= second set of pics are the Knife assembly at the Rotary hook area and under the base (Black brackets inside in pics (0,1,2,6,7,8) has anyone removed the knife assembly from a machine? how do you do it.. ========================================= lastly:
  4. Looking to buy a Techsew 2750 Pro or similar model cylinder arm machine. Located in central Georgia.
  5. Hello. I am looking for a Techsew 2750 Pro or something similar. I am located in North Idaho, so preferably someone in driving distance who has a nice used machine. I appreciate any info folks may have. Mark
  6. Please email me if you are interested. I check that more than anything. info@Loyalstricklin.com photos Here’s a video with the pfaff sewing (sped up) https://instagram.com/p/Bkh8VzJgy4r/ Nashville, TN For sale: Pfaff 335. Comes with swing down binder (cost $60) and extra slim presser feet (cost $50) and some extra needles $1900 plus shipping ($300-$350 from east coast to Texas. 450 or so to out west) Purchased new 9 months ago. I just use it to close bags. Maybe 50 hrs on it total. Techsew 2800B binding set up machine. I use this to bind the seams of all of our canvas and leather bags. Functionally the same machine as the pfaff 335. 1” tape binder included. For about $100 in parts you can convert this to a regular sewing machine just like the 335 or vice versa. Shipping costs are the same Both have servo motors. The pfaff has a space saver table. A flag table top can be bought for both as well from Uwe Grosse, so they can be 2-3 machines in one if needed. I’m upgrading to a durkopp adler if similar style, so I don’t need these machines anymore once it arrives. They sew and work as new and look brand new as well. Please DM if you’re interested or if you have any other questions. There is one person I’m waiting to hear back from on the techsew, but the pfaff has no one in line currently. Local pickup is available in Nashville, TN as well.
  7. My friend purchased this machine for me hoping to help me with some of the thicker equine leathers, which it does work beautifully for. However, he did not realize that it needs a pneumatic air hookup, which I do not have. So, regretfully, I am selling this brand new machine that has never been used. Retails for $12,650. Complete description below. I prefer local buyers for pick up only as this is a beheamoth of a machine (approx. 500lbs) or buyer to arrange shipping/pickup. Location: Newburgh, NY. 8. Hello! I am seriously considering selling my flat bed walking foot Juki and getting a cylinder arm instead. I want to do simple binding on my canvas and leather bags, but it is near impossible to find a heavy duty binder for this machine. Is there a cylinder arm binder attachment? I usually work with 15-18oz cotton canvas and max 5-6oz veg tan hides. The mouth of the binder would have to be pretty wide. Any cylinder arm users can give me advice? Thanks!
  9. Thanks to Constabulary for identifying the OMAC 69-73; which is an Adler clone. As I said elsewhere: I'm setting up a leather workshop in Austria and am looking for the equipment I will need to do so. One of my major purchases will be a sewing machine. And I've spent a LOT of time researching this. While I'd like to think I've learned a lot, the truth of the matter is that, at this point, I know just enough to be dangerous ... to myself and my wallet. Which is why I'm posting here and elsewhere. Better to seek the wisdom of others now than to wish I had later. Since shipping from the States and the UK would add FAR more than I want to spend to the costs of the equipment, I would appreciate any info I can get on good suppliers of industrial sewing machines, other leather workshop equipment, leather, hardware, etc. in continental Europe. (FYI, I will be posting in the suppliers forum as well as here.) I would also appreciate any info anyone has on the HJighlead GC2698-1 sewing machines. I I understood the info on their Irsih/UK website correctly, they're manufactured by Mistubishi http://www.highlead.co.uk/about-HIGHLEAD.htm And from the looks of the machine, it is another Adler 69-373 clone. Pics and specs can be seen here: http://www.sunnysewingmachine.com/index.php/view-all-machines/21-cylinder-arm-sewing-machines/647-highlead-gc2698-1-small-cylinder-arm-walking-foot-sewing-machine-syncronized-binder Assuming I'm correct, it would probably do what I need to do. HOWEVER, I am not going to buy anything that I have not either seen good reviews of written by the good folks on this forum or run past ya'll. Sooooooo ... does anyone know anything about these machines? In particular, what is it a clone of: Adler? Juki? Both? Are they well made, reliable, etc. Thanks! LJ Stevens Maverick Leathers
  10. I'm selling this Chandler 1088 walking foot cylinder arm sewing machine. This machine will need some minor work to get it up and running. It seems like the walking foot is not advancing the proper amount. ( I believe it has a screw to change the walking foot settings) I’m selling the head only. $1000 Will ship UPS at the buyer’s expense
