Made a holster for my buddy outta some elephant. Not the color I ordered, but I think he’ll like it. Mag holders and a matching sheath up next.

Just finishing up this Elephant billfold. I purchased the elephant from a guy who was closing up his shop. Great color and texture. The interior is fully lined with black French goat, hand stitched with .45mm Golden Ochre Amy Roke linen thread, edges are creased and painted with Fenice.

Hey all, i recently acquired 5sq ft of elephant that I'm going to use as trim for a duffle bag. The bulk of the bag is going to be black bridle and the elephant will go on the handle. Front flap, and sides. I know how to burnish the bridle, but I'm wondering about the elephant. Any thoughts on the best way to finish the edges, especially where the two species meet?

Hello everyone, I am a beginner Watch strap maker who specializes in the oddities and exotic leather types. The leather gets quite expensive and as any leatherworker knows most leather is only available via full sides, tanned pieces and lot orders. I have here below the leftovers of a few orders and custom jobs as I am trying to limit my losses and send the extras out into the world to become something spectacular. I have here only CITES approved pieces, actually it is easier to get guns and drugs into the country than illegal or poached hides. The pieces shown here do not have the tag, but I can provide proof that the piece it came from DOES in fact have CITES numbers and registration. Giraffe and Hippo do not require CITES (they are not a protected species) Giraffe hides come from diseased/dying, injured or problem animals in the Zimbabwe region of Africa. Zambezi Tanners have exclusive Government contracts for Giraffe tanning. Hippo hides come from "problem" Hippos. Hippos are the most dangerous animal in Africa. They kill more humans annually than all other animals combined. I will provide the best size estimate I can, included in every photo is a 12 inch ruler so interested persons can judge for themselves. I will ship all pieces in USPS Tyvek envelopes and a flat $5.00 fee is the shipping price to the buyer. Any moneys needed for shipping over the $5.00 fee will come out of my pocket.
