  1. Hey everyone, I hope you all are doing well. I have a KWIK Print model 86 hot foil stamping/embossing machine that I'm looking to part with. I wanted to offer it here first because, well, I just like the idea of it being put to use on leather more than I care to think about "Karen" from my kid's PTA using it to stamp out hair ribbons for some toddler beauty pageant or something. Feel free to call me biased if you'd like- you wouldn't be wrong. The machine is in great condition with nothing in regards to any flaws or damage to mention. Everything works as it should, and there won't be any negative surprises with it. I purchased the machine roughly 2-3 years ago for a large job that I was offered, and as happens to all of us at least once it seems, what was a guaranteed as a "sure thing," fell through no sooner than I bought the machine. Other than just here-and-there, it's just been taking up space in my workshop as I've transitioned more to woodworking as of late and nowadays seldom find myself working with hide very often at all. I wasn't quite ready to give up the idea of it being something I would eventually put to good use, but my wife is unexpectedly expecting our 3rd child in May (she vehemently swears it's mine but I'm not ready to give up hope just yet). We'll be moving to a larger soon, so things like this Kwik Print are having to find a new home, as well. The machine comes with the heating element, a separate heat controller, line finder, multi-line type holder, automatic foil feeder attachment, and an assortment of dies consisting of 3-6+/- of each letter of the alphabet and maybe some other odd and end dies such as punctuation and whatnot, I'm not entirely sure as I type this. All of these things are sold as "options" through the manufacturer, but without them, the machine is essentially useless. As far as I know, all of these "options" include everything that's available for these machines. New, the bare machine will run you right at $1800, and with the "add-on," it pushes the total price to $4000 give or take a few bucks. I purchased the machine secondhand for $1800. I'm not quite sure the exact figure right at this moment, but I can assure you that this thing weighs a pretty substantial amount. My guess is it weighs just a touch less than the burden my wife is putting on me to sell it. As a result, I'm unfortunately going to have to restrict shipping to the U.S. lower 48. If you live in Alaska or Hawaii and are interested in it, you'd probably be better off just buying a plane ticket and coming to grab it yourself. If you're that hellbent on it, I'd be more than happy to meet you at the airport haha. I'm located in central Mississippi and if a transaction is imminent, I could swing driving a couple of hours in any direction if it helped saved someone some time and a few bucks on the shipping. I'm asking $1000+ shipping. If shipping exceeds $300, then the machine + shipping is yours at $1300 total. If it's less than $300, you can keep the difference. I'll accept payment through PayPal or CashApp. If it'd make you more comfortable, I have no issues photographing myself with my I.D. or whatever other reasonable request that you may have in order to give you some assurance that I'm a legitimate person wanting to make a legitimate deal. If that's not sufficient, then I do have a small eBay account that I mainly use to sell antique watches on, and I could list the machine for sell there for you to purchase it through them. However, with seller's fees being what they are, and the fact they take fees from the shipping costs, as well, the final price would have to be at $150 more than the previous mentioned final figure. If you have any questions at all, hell they don't even have to be about the machine (I'm quite knowledgeable about all things related to kids), or if you would like additional photos, please do not hesitate to ask. In an attempt to save on shipping costs and protect the machine, I will be disassembling it for shipping, and will be shipping the cast iron parts in one package, and the heat controller, heating element, type holder, etc., in another. I'll be sure to bag the hardware in a way that should make it as easy as possible to reassemble. If you've ever successfully used the defrost setting on a microwave, reassembly won't be any issue for you. It's not that the two things are similar in any way, but I feel like that's a decent enough gauge of competency to go by. I appreciate you taking to time to read all of this. Thanks.
  2. KWIKPRINT Model 55, Hot Foil Leather Stamping Machine, Excellent Working Condition - meticulously stored and cared for. A regrettable sale, however, between work + young kids, I don't have time to use the machine like it deserves. Its had minimal use and is in near perfect condition. Included with the machine, are all parts and accessories as shown in the pictures, including step down transformer, basic leather crafting tools + spare foil and some leather off-cuts. Has original instruction manual. Photos show the indicator light for heating in progress and the temperature gauge from 0°F to 200°F. *** A 104 piece custom made font set can be sold individually, however, I'd prefer to sell as a package. The font set is brass in York Font 24pt. I had this custom made in the UK and cost over $1,000 *** I will sell as a package for $3,199 which is excellent value as I'm in the process of moving house and would like a quick sale, therefore, price accordingly. I'm also willing to throw in the workbench at no additional cost (for local pickup only). Dimensions of the machine are 52cm x 52cm x 60cm. Weight approx. 20-25kgs. Those who have a passion for leather work will know how rare these machines are to come by in Australia. Pick up from Broadview, SA. Prefer to sell locally, however, will ship interstate or overseas at the purchaser's expense. Feel free to message me if you require any further information.

  4. Heat embossing machine with 3 extra stamp holders that I had custom made! Works great for heat embossing and hot foiling. I have a letter set for sale too that works great with this machine. I have included one partially used roll of gold foil.
  5. Hello, Just got a heat embosser and have been experimenting with different types of leathers and heat temps. I went a bit to hot and the heat plate just absorbed the aluminum foil paper and now I have all the residue left on the inner plate. Any idea how to remove this without sanding or using much abrasives? thanks for the help! Frank
  6. I'm shopping around atm... seeking recommendations for places to buy a full alphabet font set for use in my kwikprint machine. It's fairly significant investment and want to do my due diligence. Appreciate recommendations from suppliers based in Australia or overseas. Cheers, George
  7. Hi, ANY HELP WILL BE APPRECIATED. I have purchased a Kwikprint Model #55 and have come across a very reasonably priced Kingsley type/font set. Does anyone know if Kingsley type fits the Kwikprint. Can't seem to find anything specific about this through my research. Cheers,
  8. Hello All, I decided to join based on great tips i've been getting from this site but i've coming across a re- accuring problem as a Leatherworker specific on Leather bags and i use Chrome Tan Leather. Since it is very difficult to stamp on these types of leathers what will work best when it comes to imprinting my logo onto the leather? Will Hot Foil Stamp work on Chrome Leather? Arbor Press? Or Should i simply find another way to attach my logo onto the bag(s). Please Help!
  9. Alright, I'm overwhelmed by hot foiling machines, and seeking advice. I'm in the market for a hot foil machine, we've been using an arbor press, and I'm ready to add foil to our customization options, but don't know the best direction to go. I have about $700 to spend on one and am just confused. I want to be able to mount my brass tamps on the press without using the tape that I've seen people write about. Does anyone have any experience with the Kingsley presses? Would I be able to do that on this one? http://www.ebay.com/itm/Kingsley-hot-foil-stamping-machine-model-M-50-type-and-type-holders-/282085520442 Just looking for some guidance before pulling the trigger.
