I am looking for another supplier for a backup and would appreciate all recommendations I had been ordering from Zack White for my Latigo straps and got wonderful customer service until recently. My recent order was sent to a very old address that I had not had orders shipped to in almost a year. They sent it to that address even when paid Paypal with my correct shipping address on both my order and Paypal. I messaged them through their website along with and email, no answer after a few days I called and was told no one was there that could help me but the lady said they would send my order out to the correct address, they did. I received it today and 1/2 the order was poor quality and not want I am use too with them. I am waiting till Monday to see how they handle this and hopefully will re-send the correct leather. As you can see in the picture the edges are not black and when you feel the leather it is very rough. I cannot use this because I give my customer quality and will not pass this on to them.

Hey everyone. I feel like I've searched the internet for years looking for suppliers of chrome tanned leather in assorted colors. I use hidehouse now for just about all semi-aniline leathers as they are consistent, but very limiting in colors. I found another fellow bagmaker who uses the most beautiful leathers, but I don't want to be insulting and ask their to divulge their supplier. Of course we have different styles and designs, but ideally we have the same target customer. And I can't say I would give up those secrets myself! I've attached a picture and below is a list of suppliers I've already found. I have a feeling my best option is probably overseas, which I have no experience with. Any additional suppliers in the US or Abroad you guys can think of would be helpful! Hide House Moore & Giles Waterhouse (just ordered samples) Auburn Leather Company The Leather Guy (just ordered samples) and then all the big saddle guys: Tandy (bleh) Springfield Wickett Thouroughbread Weaver etc... Thanks everyone! ...

I am looking for leather stores in California. I live in Visalia, CA and I know about Tandy in clovis. I'm there about once a week. I was curious if there were any other good options in California. I would be willing to travel farther if it meant I could have some more options.

Has anyone tried Moore & Giles for leather? Most of their leather is chrome tan. And I'm sure that it's pricey, but probably no more expensive that what some other suppliers charge. They are located in Virginia. I'm curious because their website is impressive, but I can't find any mention of them on this site. I have included their URL. Let me know what you think. Thanks. https://www.mooreandgiles.com/leather/

Hello, I was wondering if anyone could help me out. I was checking out a bag at colsenkeane.com, and the leather that he used to make the bag was smooth on both sides, about 10oz, and stiff. I've been wanting to make a leather basket, and I was thinking this type of leather might be a possibility, but I have know clue what kind of leather it is or where to find it. Is it something that the maker does to the leather or is it tanned this way? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks, Ed
