  1. FOR SALE $2500 - Central Coast, New South Wales, Australia - 60kms (45mins) north of Sydney Pfaff 1295-706/35 Heavy Duty Post Bed Compound Walking Foot Sewing Machine In perfect running order and just glides through heavy leather (10mm harness leather pictured). The extra flexibility of the post bed is so handy, however, I regularly use the flat bed attachment with no issues. This is my old faithful heavy duty sewing machine but has a brand new, quiet, speed adjustable and energy efficient 750 Watt servo motor (11 month warranty, motor Only) with overhead LED light. Comes with a home made flat bed attachment, built in light, bobbin winder (built-in), a few bobbins and needles. Selling due to downsizing. Message me for a video of it in action, going through 10mm harness leather, a copy of the user manual, or any other questions you may have. Comes with bobbins
  2. Acquired a Yamata 810 machine local to me, sold by a sewing machine repair man and seems pretty well sorted. I researched this machine for a little while and never came across a casting like this, and it even has an integrated bobbin winder. The peculiar thing I wanted to ask about was the stitch length wheel. It seems to only go up to "4", but has an unmarked zone where every other machine I've seen has additional range. Tuning it to this area seems to be okay, and it can still sew, but want to make sure I wouldn't cause any damage. Am I good using this range, as long as the reverse bar has more room to move? Second, for sewing leather I definitely need a speed reducer. I'm not seeing much space to work with under the table, how would one route the pulley? Lastly, any good part resources one would recommend? I have my eye on a rubber roller but wasn't sure if there were any other cool accessories that are worth looking at. Thanks!
  3. I live in Asheville, NC and am new to Leatherworker. I'm retired and have a beautifully working Singer 168W101 for sale, for pick up at my home. In downsizing a few years ago, the chain and foot pedal was misplaced, but included in the sale is the table, motor, spool holder, bobbin winder, belt and two spools of thread. I' asking five hundred dollars for all. Please let me know of your interest, or any questions you might have. My email address is glazdovr. That is glazed over without the two "e", all lower case and without space, and is at gmail. Thank you for you interest. Cheers, Sandy
  4. I am located in WA, putting together a boot shop and in need of a post bed sewing machine. Doesn't have to be pretty, function is the main goal here. If you are in the PNW and have one sitting in the corner collecting dust...I would be happy to come grab it and put it to use. Shoot me a message if you've got something, thanks!
  5. I am looking for a post bed machine, either a Singer 168w101 walking foot machine or equivalent, but would be interested in anything else. Singer made a huge one as well, but cannot remember the number 4?-?? Or something. Now I have seen several posts cracked at the base from mis handing, they would so fine for a bit and act up sew fine, act up etc. I am also looking for a Singer 16 series face plate. Trade or cash Thank you!
  6. Hi,i have a used little very good condition post bed compound walking foot, Highlead GC24608-iR downsizing, renovating house. selling few things off. with table servo motor. located in long island,ny -for pickup. $1600-negotiable
  7. Hi all - thanks for welcoming me to your community here. This forum has been an excellent resource on my sewing machine refurbishing projects. Ive recently acquired a Singer 51w 55, it is a post bed machine. I got it from an old timer who used it for years and years doing govt. contract work. It was relatively well maintained but is running pretty rough. This is a machine I really want to do a full refurb on, but am a little nervous as parts are proving difficult to find. I started off with an issue where the stitch length adjustment knob has broken off of the threads to attach it to the handwheel. This was eventually solved with a set of screws just under the top plate. I guess I’m just curious what some recommendations would be to start on this thing, what are the first steps I take to a full clean and refurbish?
  8. Like new, Cobra 5110 Post Machine. Description below: 7″ Tall Post Roller Presser Foot Drop Feed System Reverse Lever 5-25 Stitches Per Inch Top Load Bobbin Sews up to 12 oz. 46-92 Thread Size 135×8 Needle System Digital D.C. Servo Motor Heavy Duty Speed Reducer 28 LED Super Beam Lamp Drive Unit With Wheels 80-85% New We bought this machine to use on stiffer 5-6oz rugged style leather totes and messenger bags with large stitching, but we realized afterward it wasn't suited for our purposes. This machine is ideal for soft leather or canvas bags, and shoes. Machine was sold to us missing the bobbin cover, which can be seen in the second image. This part can be ordered from http://www.leathermachineco.com/product/cobra-5110-post-machine/ (ask for Steve). There is also one dethreaded bolt in the frame of the table where the foot pedal brace attaches (my fault for tightening it too tight), which can easily be replaced. Asking price is $1,000.00.
  9. Hello all, I have been looking at post bed machines for sewing shoe uppers and boots and was wondering if there are any products available for converting a post bed machine to a flatbed for doing boot tops also. Do any companies already make something like this, or does anyone have experience or photos/diagrams they'd be willing to share here of table converters they have made? Thanks -Also I am pretty decided on the Cobra 5110 for the machine I want, http://www.leatherma...log.php?item=25 -Cobra has a "work platform" for their class 3 and 4 machines. This is pretty much the idea I'm going for, but I want it on a post bed rather than then cylinder arm. http://www.leatherma...log.php?item=44
  10. Roller foot postbed for sale in oakland CA. This machine has feed from the top and bottom. Will run 107 size twine. Perfect for shoe lasts, uppers, cowboy boots, bags, you name it! Barely used $1800 obo
  11. i remember that i have couple of bags that need some repair, so i decided to pull the PFAFF out of my father's warehouse The model is PFAFF 9593 single needle post bed with roller foot Can anyone share the specifications, manual, parts list, videos or even some review on this sewing machine Do this model have a clone ? Any info on some newer machines that can share parts with this pfaff 9593 ? I have tried to google it, but couldn't find what i needed Thx before
  12. Hello, can somebody help me. I need a needle plate for a Pfaff 595 (post bed machine). If somebody knows a source with a quite reasonable price I would be thankful. Regards Oakley
  13. Hey yal long time no post! Hoping some pros can help me with something. I'm looking for experiences, not just google articles, hence why I'm here! I have a 810 post bed machine. I had started a project (which is now complete), sewing some sneaker uppers, but toward the end I snapped a needle and found I had been sewing with a size 22. It's ok, but I really wanted to sew with a smaller needle to get a smaller more "high end" looking stitch. I went to put it in a new needle that was provided, but none of them worked. None of them would catch the bobbin thread, from size 16-21. Come to find out they sent me the wrong needle system, as I needed dpx5 and those werent it. So now I'm on ebay trying to find needles but all of these numbers and letters are confusing. There are lots of options. 2 part question: 1. If I buy needles, as long as it's the right system, can I use a smaller size?? For instance, it's seems my machine is set for a size 22, will a size 18 or 20 work?? For 69 thread. 2. If that answer is no, is it worth changing something internally so that I can sew with a smaller needle? I would have to be walked through this over the phone, as I am 4 hours away from the nearest professional. For more background, I don't plan to sew over 6 oz of leather. I sew Python and lamb skins, and would like to sew croc and stingray soon. But I also want to sew fabrics, like Pendleton and suedes, which look like requires ball points but leather requires diamond. (Any info on points appreciated too) Any advice?? Thank you!!!!
  14. I bought a used consew 229 post bed and don't know how to remove the bobbins case so I could adjust the thread tension .There must aslo be a similar post bed sewing machine .
