  1. Hey Everyone! I am looking to see if anyone has a Hamley Daisy/ Prairie Rose (5 petal) stamp that would be willing to rent out for a small wallet project that I am working on for a friend for the holiday season. I know that Barry King Tools has a great Hamley stamp for sale but it is a little out of my price range for the size of project I have. Any information/ leads would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

  6. Anyone interested in trading leather stamps? I'm not looking to sell anything. Just trade. I'm looking for multiples of all the Boy Scout, Cub Scout, Girl Scout, O.A. and Wood Badge Leather Stamps. Plus a lot more. Our Council has at least 5 sets of leather stamps I'm trying to add to. Four of the sets are smaller and loaned out to MB Counselors and used in CS Day Camps. The fifth stays at the Council and I'm trying to get as many different stamps as I can for it. I also want to have an extra or two of some stamps, especially the Scout stamps since we do occasionally lose one here and there. I have around 275 different 2D/3D leather stamps with a total over 750. Attached are 2 PDF files. One for The Leather Stamps I Want and the other is Extra Leather Stamps I Have. Most trades, I'm willing to give at least 2 of my stamps for each one of yours. Many I will give more and some a lot more. Especially for the red and yellow ones in my list. I want the trades to be fair for both of us. The stamps I have are in great condition and I would like the same from you. If you would like to donate any leather stamps and/or tools, instead of trading, it would be most appreciated. All donated stamps and tools go directly to the Las Vegas Area Council. I'm NOT looking to get these stamps so I can resell them. They are for use with Scouts and other Youth Groups only. I will eventually have to sell the extras I currently have, but I really hate selling on ebay which is why I haven't done it yet. I am posting this on several forums so some stamps may not be available. Contact me with what you have and which stamps you want for them. I will try to get photos soon, but most likely won't get to it until after Christmas. Thanks, Dale 12 21 2019 Extra Leather Stamps.pdf 12 21 2019 Leather Stamps Wanted.pdf
  7. I started collecting the 2D/3D stamps more than 15 years ago. I have identified 778, possibly 779, stamps issued by Craftool, Midas/Ivan, The Leather Factory and Scouts. I am down to the last 5 that I need to complete my personal set. If you have any of these please contact me ASAP. Notes: There were 2 slightly different Midas 8262 Armadillo stamps issued. I need the top one and not the bottom one. Read the text to the right of the other 4 stamps. I do not have photos of the 3 Scout stamps. They were sold only through the BSA but the actual image is probably identical to the corresponding Craftool stamps. I am just trying to collect them all, even though they are duplicates of other stamps. Thanks, Dale
  8. I'm offering for sale my collection of MIDAS Stamps from the 1980's This a rare opportunity to obtain 125 of stamps that are have been discontinued for over 30 years. They have a fixed handle which is 4" long and finished with a herring bone pattern giving you a firm grip when striking. In the pattern display photo the coins are a 5 p and one Dime each approximately 18 mm or 11/16 " in diameter. With the ruler this should give you some idea of the stamp sizes. The majority are unused. ALL the patterns are as new with perfect clarity. 6 stamps have a slight burr where the mallet has hit and 15 stamps have a slight discoloration at the striking end because they were stored in a block of wood as seen in the photograph and the moisture from the wood overtime has have marked the metal. For any further information please send a PM. Abbreviation on the number list are 'D' = discoloration - B = Burr. There are 125 stamps, worth on the market in access of £1800 but I offer these for sale at £1250.----------- Payment can be sent through PayPal via friends and family to save additional charges. This package is approximately 11 lbs (5 kg) in weight and the carriage will be charged as per courier invoice. Usually £50 contents value is included, but additional insurance can be obtained. All these details can be verified when a buyer requests further details.
  9. I am looking at the different types of foil, hot stamping machines out there. I have a client that wants a gold foil stamp for logos and I.D. Tags. I've seen different techniques with different tools and machinery. What is the best? Any ideas? Thanks for reading my post

  12. I was going to wait until I cleaned my garage before I took these photos, but based on past history it is going to be a while. I'm not a collector in the sense that I want all the really old stuff. I just want to collect all the 2D/3D stamps, 2d/3d stamp sets, alphabet sets, handle stamp sets and a bunch of zodiac stamp sets. It all started by my desire to have a huge selection of stamp option available for the Scout and other Youth Groups I was doing classes for. After a while I decided that the kids were too "careless" with the stamps so I started to separate my tools from the tools I used for the kid classes. But I got tired of going through the stacks of boxes to find the stamp I was looking for. This is my current solution. They call this kind of cabinet a lot of different names. Blueprint Cabinet, Map Cabinet, Art Drawers, flat file cabinet, etc. I picked up these three 5-drawer cabinets from craigslist for $200. They came with a custom made, very heavy duty and UGLY wheeled cart. I actually like mismatched colors of the cabinets. All the 2d/3d stamps are in numerical order by manufacturer. I even left spaces for stamps that were not made or I do not have yet. So ideally, each box contains 25 stamps each. The stamps that are in the space usually used for the stamp handle, are stamps that have duplicate numbers. I am in the process of creating a database of stamps that I can sort by category like Western, Sports, Native American, etc... That way I can print photos of the category and select a stamp from it, instead of looking through all the boxes to decide on a stamp image. Yes, I am anal retentive. I was an accountant. The alphabet sets are sorted by font with the larger sets in the rear and smaller sets up front. I think I have all of the alphabets sets, except a Russian set I saw online but can't seem to find anywhere to buy. I also think there is a 3/8" and 1/2" Old English Alphabet and Number sets but am not sure. I have a lot of mallets with more on the bench. I have to sort through them but they do get used when my kid's friends come over and want to do some stamping. There is a drawer that contains the Handle Stamp sets and Zodiac sets. I think I have all the Handle Stamp Sets and there is 10 different zodiac sets. Both traditional and Chinese sets. I am missing one stamp from one of the sets (the black ones in the bottom right of the photo) and will have to get it made. The drawer that contains the 2d/3d stamp sets is complete (I believe) and also includes the smaller, individual stamps that Tandy currently sells. There is another drawer that has most of the other tools in it, i.e. setters, cutting tools, edgers, etc... But I chose not to show it until it is organized. I'd show my workbench, but I can't get to it at the moment. The rest of my tools will eventually make their way to the cabinet to the right of this one. Most of the tools I have are the rather inexpensive varieties by Tandy, Midas, Barontool, Basic tools, etc.. and most were purchased on ebay, craigslist and other sites that sell used tools. With few exceptions, any of the high-end tools and stamps I ended up with, I have re-sold to help pay for the 2 sets of tools that I use for the classes. I already know what you are thinking. I have way more than I need. And to tell you the truth, way more tools than my skill level. But I still have less than I want.
  13. These are the stamps I am currently looking to acquire for Scouts. I'm willing to purchase but if you could donate them it would be most appreciated. I also have a post in the For Sale section for some stamps I have for sale. I'm willing to do trades. See the attached photos of what I need. In addition, we are always looking for any additional leather stamps and tools that you might be willing to donate. 16. I have about 750 leather stamps that I'm going to be listing on ebay soon. But I wanted to give you guys a shot at them 1st. These are stamps I have bought over the years to work with Scouts and other Youth Groups. I was saving them because I wanted to put together multiple sets of tools that I could loan out to these groups. But I realize how impractical (expensive) that goal is. I've decided to focus on expanding the 5 sets of tools that our local BSA Council has along with two sets that I'm putting together. One for short (2-4 hour) classes and the other, a much larger set, for use at summer camps or weekly classes I want to do. The proceeds from selling these tools will go towards the purchase of additional tools, supplies, chairs, and workbenches/HD tables for use in Scout and other Youth Group leatherwork classes. I estimate I need around 9k - 10k to get what I need. This amount includes a trailer to store and haul everything around. It is basically everything needed to do classes almost anywhere as long as there is a room to set up in. The pdf file below, is a list of the Stamps and the prices. If I only have 1 of a particular stamp, you will get that stamp. If I have more than 1, then I will pick it out. I can send photos of the exact stamps before shipping, just ask. There is a 2nd pdf file that shows all the stamps, in boxes, in a post just below this one. PM me if you want anything. I will put the order together then send you a paypal invoice. Please pay within 24 hours from that invoice. Price does not include shipping. For the USA I will ship USPS. Either as a small package, for a few stamps, or Priority Mail for larger orders. A lot can fit in a small flat rate box. For other countries, I will rely on the buyer to recommend how to ship, since I have not done it before. But I'm sure we can work it out. Thanks for looking, Dale PS - If you are interested in donating any leather tools and stamps (or cash) to help out we would appreciate it. Please contact me. dprezgay - 2D 3D Leather Stamps for Sale Excel List - 01 26 2020.pdf Here is a file showing all the stamps in groups. dprezgay - 2D 3D Leather Stamps for Sale - 01 26 2020.pdf

  19. I'm about to finalise an alphabet stamp set order with Hex n Hit stamps and want to make sure they are suitable for use with my Kwikprint machine (I have a model #55). Having a little difficulty getting clarification from the stamp maker, probably due to language barrier. If anyone knows or has used these stamps, will be much appreciated if you can comment. Cheers,

    2-A stamp

Does anyone know where I can get a 2nd Amendment stamp? Or, Does anyone know what I would cost to have one made? It can be a single stamp, or 4 separate stamps [each line] Looking to use it to stamp on wallets, so I guess the size would be 3x3 or 3x2. in reality, what ever works out the best/easiest.

  22. I have been doing leather working for roughly a year now, and have had a few commissions, and I have a few in line now. I have already had my logo created by a professional artist, with the intent of having it made into a makers stamp. So far, my research is limited as I do not have hardly any access to the internet unless I am at the office. I tried Buckeye, and they have not responded back after some more details on what I want. I found a local shop that I visited this morning and the price he gave me (also while telling me they may not be able to get as much detail as I would like) a price that about gave me a heart attack.... $265. I am looking for a recommendation on a company to get my logo, which is my icon here...created. Appreciate any and all help.
  23. Hello, I don't believe I have formally introduced myself, but my name is Reece and I have been officially in the hobby/trade of leather craft for about 2 months now. When my father passed away he was just starting out in leatherwork himself and so with his passing I inherited all of his tools and leather. When he got his set of tools it was already missing several items from it but he did have the majority of the basics. My question comes in on the stamps that I have vs the ones I don't and should consider obtaining. Below are the tool numbers currently in my possession: Tandy 100, b197, 203, 206, p206, 210, v407, 429, c429 c431, 702, s705, 708, 709, 748, s722 I have some money ear marked for leather craft items here in the following weeks and would appreciate to know what you all think would be good considerations to add as far as stamps are concerned.
  24. This is an update to the leather tools I need for Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts. (I'll do another post of my progress on leather tools for our Girl Scout Council at a later date). PLEASE LET OTHER LEATHERWORKERS KNOW ABOUT THIS POST. I am currently looking for donations of the tools listed below. NOTE: First of all, I do realize that it is unlikely that I'm going to get everyone in the forum to clean out all their unused leather tools and send them to me. Leather tools are expensive. What I would like is that all the people that read this, think about picking out a few tools that they don't use anymore and send them to me. Maybe you've upgraded to Barry King or another maker. Maybe you have some 3D stamps you know you will never use again. Even if you are going to sell them, you can afford to take a few out and send them my way. If I could get 100 people to do this it's worth the effort. My posts are already much too long so If you would like to discuss any of this with me, send me a message with your phone number and I would be happy to explain, in great detail, what I am trying to do. This all started with me helping out with a Leatherworking Merit Badge class last May and I noticed how incomplete their tool set was and the horrible condition they were in. But once I started looking at their leather tools and programs, it turned into a rabbit hole. I am trying to get our Local (Las Vegas) BSA Council's leather tools in shape. The leather tools that they had were in such poor condition that I had to throw many of them away. It doesn't look like they have any tools or stamps that are less than 20 years old. I donated over 300 stamps to put together some sets of tools for the Day Camps that they put on. Even with what I donated, they are still very much incomplete. These tool sets are loaned to the different districts in our council when they run a Day Camp which are held between May and October. In addition, these sets are loaned out for merit badge classes. I also inventoried the leather tools at the Boy Scout summer camp and was astonished how little they had. I ended up leaving many of my tools and stamps for them to use last summer just so they would have a good selection of 3d stamps and alphabets to choose from. There is a lot they need, just to do basic projects. They don't even have a hole punch or rivet setter. There is a 3rd program called Scout Reach. It is designed to provide opportunities for at-risk children to get a taste of some scouting activities and hopefully get some of them to join the Cub Scout Pack at their school. I looked at their tools and there is almost nothing left. Some of the stamps were so damaged that I couldn't even identify what the stamp was to begin with. They have not included leathercraft in this program for about 2 years. But they very much want to. So after I get the Day Camps and Summer Camp tool sets together, I will concentrate on Scout Reach. Because of the way non-profits work, items purchased for a particular program must stay with that program. Here is what has changed since the last request I posted.: They built a park next to the Council Office and need 1 additional set for day camps that they will keep there and not loan out. I juggled tools around from different programs (even though I wasn't supposed to) in order to spread out excess tools from 1 to another. I talked to the "Grand Poobaa" at the council office and except for about $1,000 budgeted for the new, Park Day Camp, there is no money for leather tools. This set will remain on premises, and not be loaned out. I received about a dozen packages containing a wide variety of leather tools. Most of it is going to the Summer Camp. See bottom of post for a list of priorities on use of cash and gift card donations. If you send anything please text me and let me know If you would like to make a cash donation, my Paypal ID is: dprezgay@yahoo.com Checks can be made out to: Las Vegas Area Council BSA and sent to one of the address below. Please include a letter specifying that it is to be used on leather tools and supplies, and include my name and phone number to contact when they receive the check. My address is: Dale Prezgay 4800 Crimson Glory Lane Las Vegas, NV 89130 702-768-3335 If you want to send directly to our Scout office, the address is: Donald Reynolds Scouting Resource Center 7220 Paradise Rd Las Vegas, NV 89119 702-736-4366 ATTN: Edgar Almodovar I can get you a donation letter from our Council if you request it. ALL DONATIONS MADE THROUGH PAYPAL, OR by GIFT CARD, WILL RECEIVE A DONATION LETTER. Please include your address so I can have it sent to you. I can also use gift cards from Tandy, Home Depot (for mobile carts for the leather tools), Springfield Leather, Hobby Lobby. NOTHING RECEIVED WILL BE SOLD. If we can't use it then I try to trade for what we need or I will find another home for it at another Boy or Girl Scout Council. So, this is what we still need: Supplies and Tools: We need leather scraps. All shapes, sizes, thicknesses, species. Anything we can use that is at least large enough to make key fobs, rounders, etc.. Old leathercraft kits you aren't going to use. Hardware items like rivets, key rings, conchos and any other hardware you want to send our way. Any size and finish. Please put them in separate plastic bags. Setters to go with the different fasteners. Craftool Hand Press with any Press Dies. I would like to get a couple for the Summer Camp. Hammer/Mallet Dies in the shape of key fob patterns, rounders, coin purse. Anything they can make a project out of. Clicker Die Cutting Boards - They are usually red. The Cub Scouts use mostly stamps that are a complete image. Like a star, fish, flower, etc... Craftool makes some and Craft Japan has a lot of them. Basic Tool, and Baron Tool have a lot too. Really any stamps would be great. The Summer Camp needs all kinds of handle stamps. I'm trying to put together 24 sets of the "Basic 10 Tools". I need 23-Swivel Knives, 23-8059's (stylus), 10-A104's, 8-B200's, 4-C431's, 6-P206's, 14-S724's, 18-V407's, 22-V707's and 24-X511's For the Summer Camp, I would like to eventually get at least 1 complete set of all Craftool letter, no-letter and Craftool Pro stamps so the kids can make any design from any of the Tandy books and Craftaids. I would also like to get some Midas/Kelly Tool stamps and any from all other brand of leather stamps. On the off chance I receive donations of some premium stamps (Barry King, Linnell, etc...) I will save them for some intermediate and advanced classes I want to offer starting in 2020 or 2021.. I would also like some homemade tools to show the kids. You know, the old timer ones made from nails and bolts and steel rods and such. I have about 6 and they are pretty basic ones, so I would like to have more to show them. ANY LEATHER STAMP, ANY BRAND - We will use them. That's a total of 2,956 stamps. I still need over 1,700 to meet this goal. I'm also trying to get 1 complete set as extras so I can replace any missing stamps when I do an inventory each year. However I am not making a great effort on this and not included in the above calculations.
