Members ThisIsMyFirstRodeo Posted May 29 Members Report Posted May 29 According to a YT video from living anachronism, although costrel and flask were relatively interchangeable in terms and there was no real designated shapes, and basic construction and materials the same , a costrel typically looked more like a barrel/cask, more likely carried from waist rather than shoulder, and usually for ale/wine/spirits rather than water or what-have-you.
