seat and tank bib

Recommended Posts

Greetings looking for any feedback or thoughts I made this set a couple of months ago for a buddy of mine. The pocket watch was almost 1" thick, I wrapped it in leather and then made this holder for it on his tank it replaced a busted dash piece on his bike.  I really like the seat it turned out pretty cool and I used chrome tanned bison from Tandy and it didn't seem as slick as other leathers I worked with so I thought it would be help keep him in the saddle!

thanks for any feedback, I'm pretty novice but am trying and learning.

Regards,

Darrin

Pretty sharp.  Love the idea of using bison to prevent sliding in the saddle. What is the braided strap for?

Nice job on the seat and accoutrements.  The only thing I might suggest would be to use a veg tan for the pouch and watch case so that you can slick the edges.  Bridle or harness leather would weather well.  Perhaps use black leather for these pieces to build on the black and brown theme.

That’s pretty cool man! Great job. I’m doing my first tank bib right now. For a custom Indian that’s in New York. I’m in Deep South Texas. He sent the first one someone made and they were not happy with. It’s gonna have snapping turtle in it. Hoping for the best since the bike is a few miles down the road….. working with what I got. Again, nice job.

Don't know I'd want snapping turtle that close to my crotch.

Nice job, I have worked with bison before in some small pouches an it is tough to get the edges finished.
