Members Boicie Posted February 14, 2023 Members Report Posted February 14, 2023 This is the first thing I'm actually proud of so please crit my stitching. Its based off a Creative Awl pattern and yes, I did punch holes for but didn't put a flap on the front pouch. I'm going to remake this slighly longer so it will take a tablet but broadly the same size and with a large flap over the top. Leather is Crazy Horse from AusTanners in Geelong, Victoria, Australia. I understand they mostly use Aussie hides. Please be construtive as I've not had an actual teacher; I've gotten this far by trial and error. Thanks Quote

Members Hags Posted February 15, 2023 Members Report Posted February 15, 2023 I think it's quite nice. One thing I always had trouble with was consistent pressure in the stitches. You seem to have mastered this. Well done! Quote Not so retired RN. Living on the Washington Peninsula.
Members Boicie Posted February 15, 2023 Author Members Report Posted February 15, 2023 Thanks I didn't use a stitching pony, because I'm tall and... fat... so the one I've got meant I kept stabbing my thigh. All I did was pull the stichtes through and then make sure I pulled the same tension on both sides. Quote
Members DwightT Posted February 15, 2023 Members Report Posted February 15, 2023 I think it looks pretty impressive. Like Hags mentioned you seem to be fairly consistent in your stitching. I do see one out-of-line stitch on the left side of the pocket, but most of my projects probably have at least one of those. In all I would say it's a good job. /dwight Quote

Works well that way. Nice job . Quote In God's Grace, Pastor Bob "While we were yet sinners, Christ died for us." - Romans 5:8 www.PastorBobLeather.com YouTube Channel
