Quick sheath for a buddy

Recommended Posts

A buddy wanted a sheath to take on vacation. I didn’t know this till the day he was leaving. I had 5 hours, start to finish. Had to make the lace too. Wasn’t much dry time allowed for anything, but it got done and he left for Mexico to surf.

Truly impressive.  It would probably take me 5 hours just to cut the leather.  And to get the lacing to look that good - just wow!

Well, someone has to ask the dumb questions.  What is the inlay and is there a particular name for that style of lacing?

Very nice work.

Nothing looks quick about that at all.  Craftsmanship is top notch, you are putting out some stellar stuff these days.  Kudos, and hope your buddy truly appreciates that!

Very nice job!

As others have said, it would have taken me longer just to put the idea together.

So is the the leather over a blue plastic sheaf?

It looks like some type of gator and lizard leather.

very nicely done.
I agree with those above. A small demo or tutorial is warranted.

I liked this one too Garyak !

However, that wee bit of yellow in the Kermit sheath stole my facination.

and, I can see the lacing better here, and Im still guessing Mexican Round Brade ?
