It is called

assorted designer black

at Tandy.
Really nice and soft a pleasure to work with. I suggest using tape to mark and cut

Grey is cool.  I would not use it on a vest but a bag would be fantastic

i sold one of the vests yesterday at a flea market for $150.  That sounds cheap but no liner no pockets.
with liner and pockets is $225.00

as much pita as a liner is I prefer they not want it. Lol.

Be careful on garments for children when the leather is made in China, they do not care about what chemicals come in contact with our children, unless they get caught

Well Doc their in lies the rub

the pattern said size 6.8.10

it did not say children and in all honesty Neither did it say womans

I still need a pattern for woman, in my opinion. A paten is not going to spend $150 plus on a vest that will be outgrown in 6 mths.

Maybe not but a grandparent would!  Don't ask how I know.

I see up in that first post it says a SIZE 2, plus where your at out in the middle of nowhere, keep your eye open for a dead couch and skin the Naugahyde off it, just make sure it’s bedbug free

Yes I made the vest and put it on a 2 year old after I chased her all over the room

then I used my power to declare this pattern to be a size 2. Not the 6 that is on the pattern pak

That's a great idea! Also, yeah watch it anything from China. Including the meat at the grocery store.

Not this grandparent. I learned old math.:P

Nice vest by the way although I cannot understand why anyone would want to wear one. To me it's the most useless piece of apparel ever dreamed up.

I recently purchased a leather vest for my son and I am so glad I chose the lambskin leather option. It is soft, durable and perfect for my son's age. He loves wearing it and it fits him comfortably. The quality of the leather is excellent and I would definitely recommend this vest to anyone looking to buy leather clothing for their children.

Vests have their uses - especially those  with lots of pockets. I found one in a consignment shop and wear it all the time when I go to estate sales and flea markets. I can carry everything in my zippered pockets and can be hands free. Better than stuffing everything in my jeans pockets or carrying a handbag. Probably will need a lighter one for summer though but this works through the fall and spring.
