CFM tsunkasapa Posted March 30, 2023 CFM Report Posted March 30, 2023 Over all, not bad. Two things I see. First, the color of the square part and your background are too similar. Giving no separation between the two. And second, some of your decorative cuts don't meld with the flow of the design elements. I have trouble with that sometimes myself, so it really stands out to me. Quote Hoka Hey! Today, tomorrow, next week, what does it matter?

Clarification point, the background is the same color as the square, it was part of the design. Quote
Members YinTx Posted March 31, 2023 Members Report Posted March 31, 2023 Fade things. Like the cuts, and the beveling and the mules foot stamp. Also, may try a smaller mules foot stamp for this. I usually only use the seeder for the floral stem, not the leaves, helps differentiate. Overall, just keep on practicing! Members Ddat Posted April 2, 2023 Members Report Posted April 2, 2023 I think more use of a beveler to add depth and definition (dimension?) would help this piece. Between the flower petals, and on either side of the [vine] lengths. I'm seeing unnatural angles, especially around the edges where the Vine veers out of the circle, in an otherwise round and fluid piece that really stand out. Quote
