Tried to do an actual floral carving.  Pretty happy for a 1st try.  I also tried dyeing the leather with vinegaroon.  The gusset on this little bag, was really tough trying to get the holes to line up.  I fought through and got it, but the stitching could definitely be cleaner.  Let me know what ya think.

Some practice would be good, but look like you got the main idea ;)

The most glaring thing you might change, the thing sticks out first, is the cuts in teh flower.  Sometimes called "decorative cuts" but there was a gal around here called them (aptly) CONTOUR cuts.  The cuts should follow the design, and it adds more realism than a guy might think.

Yea I agree, I kinda rushed those cuts, and the leather had dried by the time I finished tooling.  The knife wasn't flowing through the leather.  I soon as I made them, I thought, I could have done that better.  But it was a good learning exercise. Thanks!
