Members Carnivore Posted February 11, 2024 Members Report Posted February 11, 2024 I finally tried out the basket weave technique using a swivel knife and beveler, and applied it to a note pad folder. I used 4-5 ox veg-tan, Tandy eco-flo stain ( bordeaux) and 6.mm tiger thread in Havana Cigar. I think it turned out fairly well for the first attempt. Quote
Members DieselTech Posted February 11, 2024 Members Report Posted February 11, 2024 Nice work! I've been meaning to try the large basketweave as well. Looks great! Quote
Members Simplejack1985 Posted February 12, 2024 Members Report Posted February 12, 2024 Nice work Quote
Members MarshalWill Posted February 12, 2024 Members Report Posted February 12, 2024 That looks good. Nice, even lines and definitive 3-D work. Clean inside. Well done. Quote
Members Hags Posted February 13, 2024 Members Report Posted February 13, 2024 Nice work! Been wanting to try that myself. Don Gonzales has a pretty good video on it. Quote
Members Outfitr Posted February 25, 2024 Members Report Posted February 25, 2024 That looks nice! Tried one myself. It's a pretty cool pattern. I used my flower center tool after beveling. Several places I didn't tip in enough and you can see the toe of the tool. Next one will be better. Quote
Members Handstitched Posted February 29, 2024 Members Report Posted February 29, 2024 Very nice indeed Quote
