DieselTech Report post Posted September 28 I will say I am just a newbie when it comes to sewing leather with a machine. I looked at this machine in the beginning & asked a few questions about it & similar machines. I think most of them machines are set up with a binder attachment. So it might require a feed dog & throat plate change. Additional money required for accessories. What was your intended use & the thread size you plan on using? dikman Report post Posted September 28 The model number gives it away, it is a clone of the Pfaff 335. The 335 is primarily sold as a binder, the one I found searching is set up for that, as DieselTech said, and won't be suitable for what you want to sew. What you need is a standard upholstery-class machine, probably a flatbed. Keep looking.
AlZilla Report post Posted September 29 Look closely. I seem to recall that some of these binding machines don't have a regular drop feed motion, but instead the feed dogs just just go front to back. I don't know why this is advantageous for binding.
