sinneD Report post Posted 19 hours ago Anyone retrofited an automatic oiler to a manual oiler of some kind? I am wondering if a machine tool type one shot oiler can grafted onto the pump output so that it can be manually operated. The Bijur autp/manual type is common on industrial machine tools. There are other manual types and knock offs, but basically a resivoir, piston pump and actuation lever dispenses oil via a capilary tube distribution system. Admittedly, I am new to the world of industrial walking foot machines but am familar with ones I described. I am worried my slow, baby step sewing habits wont provide enough speed to properly lube the machine. thanks sinneD
dikman Report post Posted 32 minutes ago (Relatively) slow speed sewing, that's why many (most?) of us manually oil their machine regardless of having an auto oiler.
sinneD Report post Posted 11 minutes ago but what do you of the machine is already set up with a pump and auto? I was trying to figure out what I could graft onto the existing oiling system to reuse the existing oil plumbing
