Members BenK81 Posted December 16, 2024 Members Report Posted December 16, 2024 (edited) Hi everyone, After nearly a year of searching, I’m thrilled to have finally acquired a Pfaff 145 H3—and it was just 3 miles from home! This machine has seen a lot of use and will definitely need some restoration work, but I’m looking forward to the challenge. I’ve previously restored a Singer 201K2, so I have some experience, but this will be my first time working on an industrial machine like the Pfaff. I was wondering if anyone has a service manual or any detailed strip-down documentation for the 145 H3? I’d love to dive into this project after the New Year and would greatly appreciate any resources or advice. Thanks in advance! Ben Edited December 16, 2024 by BenK81 Quote
Members fibersport Posted December 16, 2024 Members Report Posted December 16, 2024 I had a 145 and found a 545 which I think is great. I would like a 1245 but for now I'm satisfied. There are numerous manuals out there, right now I don't have access to my files but can send them tonight. If you read the posts on this group, you'll find many who have submitted them as well. I will say, the best one I found was the setup or adjustment manual for a 1245, the machines are pretty much the same in most areas and that manual will walk you through step by step to setting up your machine. Reply back later if you can't find them and I can send them to you. Quote
Members BenK81 Posted December 16, 2024 Author Members Report Posted December 16, 2024 Cheers fibersport, I have found the manual for the PFAFF 1245. If anyone got any tips on how to dismantle the 145 without causing damage this would be greatly appreciated. Grease and oil looks very dry and old. Quote
Members nejcek74 Posted December 16, 2024 Members Report Posted December 16, 2024 Just google "Pfaff 145 parts diagram" and you will get all the links for pdf's of it with exploded views. I can copy a few links here but I think it's best if you pick the one that suits you best. When looking for parts I usually combine a few different ones, there were different editions. For my Pfaff 142 the best one is a really old one, but I still combine it with newer ones to check if the part number has changed. And to time it, I used the knowledge I gained with my 1245, where applicable. I cannot help you with the dismantling, for me finding missing parts, cleaning, oiling and timing is a challenge and I never venture far beyond what is necessary. Quote

Members fibersport Posted December 17, 2024 Members Report Posted December 17, 2024 Superior Sewing Machine has a parts manual, doesn't show how to tear it down but does show the parts and their original part numbers. Quote
