Members Rallekcm Posted February 2 Members Report Posted February 2 So I was thinking of salvaging leather from old saddles, English and Western. Wondering if anyone has any pointers on this? How much workable leather is obtained, how much of a pain is it to strip one down, etc etc etc… is it worth it? any information would be most appreciated thank you in advance T Quote

Members TomE Posted February 2 Members Report Posted February 2 (edited) This maker creates beautiful bags from English saddles. https://www.calyse-co.com/ I think the value is in the artistic reinterpretation of a saddle's features, not the leather itself. Creating a keepsake from a worn out saddle. Edited February 2 by TomE Quote
