Hello everyone,
I wanted to share a recent project that might interest those who enjoy historical armor crafting and leather-based costume work.

I recently completed a Spartan Leonidas Full Body Armor Set, inspired by the 300 Spartan warrior style. The set is fully wearable and designed for LARP, cosplay, Halloween, and historical display.

The build includes:

  • A muscle cuirass styled after Greek hoplite armor

  • Spartan-style bracers and greaves

  • Cape attachments and hardware

  • Weathered finish to match the 300 aesthetic

  • A mix of leatherwork and metal components depending on the customer’s needs

What I’d love to discuss here is the techniques used for shaping, reinforcing, and aging the leather pieces to achieve that battle-worn Spartan look. I’m always looking to learn better finishing methods and hear how others achieve realistic Greek or classical-era textures.

If anyone here has worked on similar historical or fantasy armor builds, I’d love to exchange ideas, tools, and techniques.

Thanks for having me in the community!
