Members eglideride Posted March 13 Members Report Posted March 13 I am an old guy. I started leather work in 1981. I was 23. I wanted a knife sheath for a Buck folder. Stopped at the West Palm Beach FL., Tandy store. Off and on leatherwork since then, but always looking for tools, books, etc. I have collected a lot "stuff" over the years. Anyway, looking for some inspiration yesterday, something for a guitar strap. I started digging through old patterns, doodle pages. Mid 80' through mid-90's. Pulled out some old books, the oldest "regular" book was 1971. I also have F.O. Bairds book, in the original box too. I ended up spending almost 2 hours going down memory lane. I have never had a "lesson", learning was always books and magazines...well, until YouTube and the internet. I am not very good, but I have a lot of fun! So? What ya got??? Cheers! Quote
FrankHester Posted March 13 Report Posted March 13 Nice! I wish I had all those original patterns. Quote

Yeah, it's odd when you first realize that what other people think of as historical events are your recent memories.
