Members DoubleKCustomLeathercraft Posted April 7 Members Report Posted April 7 I had made a new collar for a client's dog that outgrew her collar in less than a year. I decided to do it free of charge but reusing the current hardware. She was so grateful with it all that she decided to order a new leash (approx. 36") to match. Knowing sunflowers are the client's favorite flowers (made a round purse with sunflowers for her) I decided to carve some into the leash and add turquoise to the centers to bring everything together. I'm pretty happy with how it came out. Soon to be shipped to Florida. Quote I post most of my work on IG now. I started noticing a few makers doing this with belts when I started posting my work on IG. Those dividers come from my great (x3) grandpa's tools. 1850'-1880's ish. Could be turn of the century but there isn't any other tools in that chest newer than the 1880's. They were used in finish carpentry in some way. I decided to keep in my shop to use as a prop, and they've become the main dividers I use. I love the patina and the feel. Quote I post most of my work on IG now.
