I have the pattern from roys29 shared in the Forum in 2014, and made all the parts described in it. I began assembling but don't see how to finish.

If somebody has information, thanks to let me know.

@Francois ALLAIS Moved your post to Gun Holsters, Rifle Slings and Knife Sheathes.  You should be able to get answers here.

Thanks for the advice, I'm not used on the Forum.*

A question, how can I receive notification on e-mail about subject followed?

I moved your post.  There is no need to post it again!!  It's all here.  I hid your redundant post.

The biggest piece folds over and stitches along the edges . . . you can see the stitch holes in the picture . . .

That big "flap" on top will fold down and the hole it it will wrap around the brass ball to close up the holster when a pistol is in it . . .

That funky looking little piece is folded with the "T" wings going in the back . . . and riveted in the bottom holes you see in the other part of the piece.

The top holes are then riveted to the back of the holster below where the flap folds . . . with the horizontal hole going to the top . . . and the vertical holes going below.  The horizontal hole is for the metal hook thingy that you do not have pictured.  It attaches the holster to a guard belt.

The vertical holes allow the holster to attach by any belt that will go thru the loops.

It is really an ingenious design I have always thought . . . and carries a 1911 quite well.

Depending on who made that holster . . . there also may be a small welt missing . . . some had em . . . some didn't IIRC.

May God bless,

Dwight

If you can breathe, . . . thank God.

If you can read, . . . thank a teacher.

If you are reading this in English, . . . thank a veteran.

Here's a link to the 2014 post mentioned above. The pattern is still there but on a remote site.

I wonder if we should/could grab the pattern and attach it to the original thread just in case it disappears.  Maybe we should ask @roys29 if he minds us hosting a copy.

Hello Dwight,

Your words sum up in the same time the simplicity of the concept and the difficulty of the assembling process in which I progress step by step...

I Sew the two main pieces and glued the bottom only and present the Colt 1911 before gluing and sewing the back side.

To be followed...
