I've only been practicing for the last two months and I'm very interested to see everyone's work and learn from experienced craftsmen and women. Here are a few of the things I've made since I started. I'm still learning and I welcome any criticism, tips and tricks. Barlow slips hand dyed with Oka Toko dyes. Card holders. Not dyed by me but I roughed them up to make them look used. Lockback canoe slip dyed by me. Cleaver type slipjoint slips hand dyed. Calf and pre dy d veg-tan wallet attempt. This is the first and last time I made one. It's bulky but functional I think. Stainless steel Awl blade sheath. I wet formed this as there would have been no way of the spike fitting properly otherwise. Some tool sheaths. And a knife caddy. I made a few others but they were in 6mm thick belly and I wasn't super happy with them but I use this one a lot. Thank you for taking a look. Edited June 27 by craftyba5tard Quote

They definitely didn't start out that clean haha. I'm a hobbyist but I'm trying hard to learn to be as clean as I can be. I've got a lot to learn and look forward to trawling through the forum Quote

I wouldn't post my first major effort here for a million dollars. Go ahead, start a gofundme, I dare you ... Interesting that on a couple of them you seem to have double stitched all the way around. I've been enjoying the double stitching but it was more to fill the holes my giant picking irons left in my work. But when the stitches lay together nicely and don't cross eachother, I really like the look of them. It takes a bit more time and effort as I don't have a stitching pony yet, but it's definitely worth it, I think. These are recent bits I've made. My early stuff from early may are a bit rougher and done in belly veg-tan, so very bulky. I only make stuff for myself as I'm not brave enough or experienced enough to think about trying to sell anything. But I'd like to try and sell some bits eventually. That's some seriously good work for just starting off. A little, but not for a long time. I used to to auto body repair a long time ago so that might help with the shaping and polishing. Thank you so much for the kind words! My earliest attempts were a bit rougher and done with 6mm thick belly. I learnt quickly that thickness matters for each project. These are from May this yeah when I started. Quote

I don't really know what I'm doing and I've only watched a couple of videos on YouTube, the rest I'm just making up as I go along. I'm really enjoying it though! I'm currently looking into different stitching techniques like the Norvegese and figuring out my stitch holes spacing too. Quote
