Members Goldshot Ron Posted August 5 Members Report Posted August 5 Who was the maker? 669 does not sound like a maker, but a model number. Older saddles for the movies made up to the 1950s were mostly made in the Los Angeles area, a lot made by the San Fernando Saddlery. If the leather on the saddle is held down with staples, it is probably a production made saddle. Another example of production grade saddles is the type of rivets used: hollow aluminum rivets instead of copper or brass rivets. Quote
