Members mbnaegle Posted August 26 Members Report Posted August 26 I'm interested in any Randall (or J.D. Randall, or Randall & Co.) bench tools/machines for sale. These were largely designed and made for the harness and tack industry between 1860 and 1930, but are still used in various leatherworking capacities. They don't need to be complete or working, and I don't mind 'projects' so long as they are fairly priced. I'm not looking to turn around and resell these pieces, but rather to fill holes in our collection. Most bench tools made by Randall would have a small tag somewhere, or the Randall name cast into part of the machine, but if you're not sure what you have, send me a picture and I'll see if I can identify it. Randall had a lot of designs of their own making, and several that they copied from other makers. Examples would include (but not limited to): -cheek loop boxes and associated embossing plates -bench anvils -creasers (hand crank and power) -fixed blade splitters -fixed blade skivers -strap hole punching press's If you have something that you want to part with, send me a message on here and we'll see if it's something I can use.
