This is a project I did about 6 months ago, and it was my first try on stamping leather.

Really nice looking belt! Very precise stamping, and I like how you have the clean ending between the stamping and the smooth leather.

Very nicely done!  Very clean stamping, stitching looks perfect. A very solid belt.

The use of 4 Chicago screws on the buckle strap is a different twist; looks solid.

It's great work! The only change I would do is the hole for the belt buckle tongue. If you use an oval punch instead of a round one the tongue will sit better and the belt will lay flat.

The oval hole is absolutely a learning from this. I didn't own one, so round it was at this time

Very nice work.  I find it interesting that you only have one hole.  You don't plan on gaining/losing any weight?  I have to change holes on my belts on a weekly basis. 😁

I'm also interested in you technique for attaching the buckle.  Can't say that I've ever seen a belt sandwiched between a separate strap for the buckle attachment like that.  I may have to give that a try on my next belt.

That one hole is my index: If it starts feeling tight, then it is time eat less. If there will ever be two holes, the new hole will be on the "right" side 

Oh, and the buckle attachment is simply the culprit of me not knowing what I'm doing. This seemed to be logical for me, so that's the design I went with. I'm sure you can see similar weird solutions in my other projects too because I simply don't know what's "normal".

Sometimes on nicely finished belts that are not made-to-measure, this is the way to go for adjusting an off-the-rack belt to a specific person: loosen the screws, cut the belt to length on the buckle side so that the tongue fits the middle hole on the person wearing it, punch a new hole (or holes) for the buckle attachment and reattach the buckle.

The belt for my wedding costume was cut to length this way ;-)

That makes perfect sense. I’ll take it back; I absolutely knew what I was doing, hahah
