Cowboy CB4500 - Feed Dog not centred.

Hi all, hoping someone can help with a Cowboy CB4500.

 

Does anyone know how to adjust/align the feed dog position?

 

Mine seems to be sitting far too far back. The needle should be coming down roughly in the centre of the feed dog hole, but at the moment it’s right toward the back and is actually catching the feed dog while stitching.

 

This started after I had a bit of a mishap — I snapped a needle and the thread got badly tangled up around the shuttle.

 

Since then I’ve also noticed that whenever the needle goes back through an existing stitch hole, it tends to catch and snap the thread that’s already in the hole.

 

I’m assuming something has been knocked out of alignment/timing during the jam, possibly the feed dog, needle bar or shuttle timing.

 

Has anyone had this happen on a CB4500, or can point me in the right direction for what I need to adjust?

Update.  Just for anybody having this issue, I've just been shown by the guys that sold me this machine how to adjust the feed dog back and forward. 

 

See attached pictures.  

 

Hope this helps anybody that has the issue.  

 

Also this has fixed my issue with thread being cut through existing stitch holes, both back stitch and forward. 

 

Make sure you're only adjusting the feed dog forwards and backwards, be really careful not to move it side to side whilst moving the feed dog when centring the needle.  

 

You'll need a long 5mm Allen key. And opening the face place to reveal the 2 nuts, loosen them, adjust feed dog and then tighten them up again.
