Members PastorLance Posted July 8, 2009 Members Report Posted July 8, 2009 (edited) I thought I would put a couple of projects on here to see if anyone could give me some pointers for later use. I have mainly done notebooks for Pastor friends of mine, but have done a purse and Bible Case. Let me know what you think.. Thanks for all your input on this forum I have learned so much from reading all the different articles on here. There are some talented people that are so willing to give out tricks of the trade, I think that is unique to this forum as others are hush hush on tips. I dont sell my stuff, I just do it because my Dad did it when I was a kid and I wanted to try it once I got old enough. So no I am in my 30's and finualy talked Dad out of his unused (for 20 years) tools. I have only been at it for a little for 2 years, but not steady with my projects. Thanks again. Contributing Member Regis Posted July 8, 2009 Contributing Member Report Posted July 8, 2009 Welcome Lance. Thanks for showing some really nice examples. I particularly like the preacher with Bible held high. Your lettering looks very good. Thanks and glad you're here, Regis Quote God, Family, and Country (although liberals are attempting to destroy these in the USA)
Members Kate Posted July 10, 2009 Members Report Posted July 10, 2009 Gosh, those are some nice Bible covers! I guess I need to get serious about making one for my Grandfather's pristine Masonic Bible (I think it was presented to him for attaining some office or other, it's virtually unread) and my Grandmother's beloved tattered old Bible which DID get a lot of use Grandma's is a challenge, as the original covers are falling away - nothing to hold it into a cover, per se. I'm still ruminating on how to do this - it actually needs to be re-bound, but I fear damaging it if I try that! Quote KATE'S CUSTOM GUNLEATHER and KATE'S CUSTOM BRIDLEWORKS Sultan, WA USA
