rcsaddles Posted August 15, 2009 Report Posted August 15, 2009 I was not able to attend the class in Sheridan on forming leather pots given on Saturday afternoon. Does anyone here do that and are you able to do a tutorial or give instruction? I would like to know how to do this as I think there is a call for it here in my area. Thanks much Quote Joe Boyles Rugged Cross Saddlery Lewistown, Montana Romans 6:23
Contributing Member ClayB Posted August 15, 2009 Contributing Member Report Posted August 15, 2009 Cheryl Smeja has a lot of her lessons available as downloads off of her website. Here's a link to the one on the pot class she taught in Sheridan. My wife and I both took the class and it seemed like everyone in it was having a lot of fun. It was pretty interesting to see what happens to leather when you dip it in boiling water. Here's a picture of some of the pots made in the class. rcsaddles Posted August 17, 2009 Author Report Posted August 17, 2009 Thanks Clay, I just got the downloads and look forward to making a few pots. I also got the vases and flowers. I believe they will be well worth the money spent. Of course I will post some pictures when I make something. I have been making the roses and doing well with them but have many inquires as to other flowers and boquets. Time will tell. Thanks again, Joe Quote Joe Boyles Rugged Cross Saddlery Lewistown, Montana Romans 6:23
