this one i made for me

first one i have done and first try at hand stitch well tried to

didnt have a stitching awl yet but made do with what i had to make the holes

cards were tough to get in so i know i need to add a little to the width on next one

your are looking good.........keep it up........

BUT...if it was me. i would have started & stopped the stiches on the back side. get a good edger and strive for

burnishing the edges.

cut a block of wood and stretch the case, then the cards will fit ok.

That really is a handsome piece of work, David. You did a nice job with those hand-carved letters, and the beveling looks well above average from what I can see.

If you are looking for areas to improve your work, I see one thing you can work on that would improve this type of project (other than what Luke mentioned, which I agree with) that I can suggest:

This project would look even more fabulous with really well-slicked edges. For that, I suggest reading and following Bob Park's tutorial on edge slicking. He is a real pro, and following his instructions will make you one, too.

I like your design. Very simple and clean looking.

Nothing at all to pick on aside from what others have mentioned.

About the only thing I'd change (personal preference) is to round the corners so they don't poke you in the leg when you stuff the holder into your pants pocket.
